Masterpiece!!!!
14 October 2019
Where do I begin, I didn't think anyone was able to make a movie like this after Dark Knight. The emotions I experienced in this movie, I don't think I have felt like this in a movie theater in a long time. The acting, direction, cinematography & music all deserve awards. Joaquin Phoenix is by far the best actor working today. His transition from normal man into Joker was chillingly convincing. Makes all marvel movies look cartoonish and kids play. This is masterful movie making, with top notch acting. A must watch!!

Indian Version of Memento
1 January 2009
For those of us living in the States or are followers of Hollywood movies, this movie is a exact copy of Chris Nolan's Memento. Yes the same guy who made "the Dark Knight". The only new element is added is the love story. Having said that I am a big fan of Aamir Khan. I was little disappointed that he chose to make a copy Hollywood movie, because he is the only one in Bollywood industry who comes up with something new like "Lagaan" or "Sarfarosh" etc..but as movie wise I was entertained and he did an excellent job. Only reason I am giving this movie a six is because its not original. I have to take few points for that. If it was an original I would have given a even better rating. I know not a lot of things are original these days in Bollywood but I expected better from Aamir.

Probably the Best Movie made in Past 20 yrs!!
24 July 2008
I just can't believe how great this movie was... I went in to the theater with the same expectations I had with Spiderman sequels, and LOTR sequels...and for the most part I was satisfied with both series...but The Dark Knight is different animal...all of my expectations were fulfilled and than some...what a great movie...All the actors gave top notch performances...and Christian Bale was excellent so was Aaron Eckhart...Morgan Freeman, Maggy G., Gary Oldmen and Michael Caine did their parts flawlessly....And last but not least Heath Ledger..If he doesn't win an Oscar for his performance I would loose all the respect I have for the Academy..I couldn't believe how great this actor was...its a tragic that we have lost such a talent...The Joker music is still ringing in my ears...Chris Nolan did a wonderful job with his brother writing script and directing. And if you haven't seen this movie in theater...please go check it out...This is what makes Hollywood great, masterpieces like this. Unbelievable movie making and tremendous Acting performances!!

Just Amazing!
14 March 2008
Probably Bollywood's only successful sequel to date. After Tridev, Rajiv Rai created another spectacular movie. Full of mind blowing music, acting and action sequences for that time. They don't make this kind of movies anymore. Sunny Deol is perfect. As well as Nasurideen Shah. Chunky Pande is OK. And Amrish Puri is at his best playing the bad guy, as he has done so many times. Divya Bharti is superb in all of the scenes she is in and her song Saat Samundar is awesome. Songs are not as good as Tridev but good enough. Rajiv Rai has done perfect job at directing this movie and Tridev. Just watch this movie and Tridev these are the movies that defined the 90's in Bollywood.

One of the Best Bollywood Movies!!!
30 March 2007
This movie was probably last original bollywood action film. The Actors are tremendous, One of Sunny Deol's best performance if not the best. This movie marked the end of an Action Era in Bollywood, which was ruled by actors such as Amitabh, Sunny, Sanjay and Anil and many others before love stories of late 90's caught the attention such as Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and DDLJ and many more. Sunny Deol is brilliant in this film and so is Amrish Puri who sadly passed away last year, and will missed by billions of Indians. The confrontation of Sunny and Amrish Puri is amazing...acting at its best. Sunny won National Award for this film. If you want to know bollywood inside and out I highly recommend this movie, not the movies that are being shown today, most of the today's movies are either have the same story or a remake of a Hollywood movie. This movie is a must watch movie!!!

The Best adaption of the biggest epic ever!!
27 January 2007
This is was made in late 1980s and I watched it as I was young in India. But when I bought the all 16 DVDs. It was amazing...the special effects may look old but the acting is superb...the acting done by the leading cast is unbelievable..this epic is about the meaning of life and Bhagavad Geeta spoken by Lord Krishna looks so real and understandable. Highly recommend this version..I know there are many versions but this is the best and the original. I think everyone in life should either read this great epic or watch it...it's not about Hinduism its about your Dharma (Duty) as human being. And if you are interested in great story telling you won't be disappointed.
