Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Who is the target audience?
Why does wonder woman's accent sound like nothing from her homeland or family considering she grew up with them?
Very bland, stale, un-energetic, toneless and visually exhausting film..... colours and theme did not jump out 1984 at all.
I find myself unable to relate to Wonder Woman in any way shape or form. Very boring take on the character.
The film feels as though it's trying to appeal to different audiences at times making it hard to connect and relate.
Man of Steel (2013)
Ahead of its time
I never had the opportunity to see this film in theatres, though, after my first viewing at home, I was instantly blown away by the tone, visuals, soundtrack, story, performance, thriller and action to this film.
Man of steel truely felt as though it was an alien invasion film set in our present time.
Superman has literally searched to find himself and when he does, he must learn not only learn his origins, though his abilities and how to use them.
He was bound to question himself and make mistakes along the way and following his journey is something I'm extremely excited for.
Most certainly a superhero film for adults.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Ultimate edition
Excellent follow up to Man of Steel in story, tone, style and visuals and well ahead of its time for a superhero film.
Most certainly an artistic and storytelling focused film will lots to learn in the hidden details. Makes rewatching this film better and better each time.
Most people I know, went into this movie without watching Man of Steel, therefore, did not truely understand or relate to Superman, Batman, connectivity nor the universe in its making.
I love the thriller and action flavour to this film as opposed to the comedy / action others have executed in other superhero films. This is most certainly a superhero film for adults and the universe feels very real.
