Wreck-It Ralph (2012)
Really liked it! (WARNING: SPOILERS.)
I just watched this movie on Disney+ today for the first time in a while, and I found out that I really enjoyed it. It's a wonderfully animated movie, and the characters are great. I especially like Vanellope Von Schweetz, a sweet little racer, along with Wreck It Ralph, the bad guy.
I also really liked the twist at the end where we find out that King Candy is actually Turbo, a jealous racer. I like twists like that in movies. I also really liked the other twist, where we find out that the Cy-bug that was on Ralph's shuttle didn't actually die in the taffy swamp.
All in all, Wreck-It Ralph is a fun animated movie that you should watch. If you happen to stumble upon any bad reviews while reading the reviews for this movie, do not read them. Any haters (lol) are wrong!
The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Frog-tastic!
I really like this movie, because it is so unique! *SPOILER ALERT IN THE NEXT SENTENCE. Instead of Naveen turning back into a prince when Tiana kisses the him as a frog, she turns into a frog instead! I liked that part.
I also thought that Louis was kind of funny, and I liked how he played the trumpet. (Is that what it is? I'm not that great with instruments lol.) All in all, I recommend this movie. Don't read any bad reviews if there are any.
Zootopia (2016)
Such an amazing movie!
I can't even find words to describe this amazing movie. I love how it just focuses on animals for once, instead of on humans. I also love Judy's great attitude, which reminds me of my attitude. All in all, this is a great movie, and if you haven't watched it, you need to watch it!
Moana (2016)
Such a good movie
I am a really big fan of Disney princess movies, and I have to say, this is one of the best ones yet. I love the characters, the animation, and the songs. If you are a fellow Disney princess fan, and have not seen this movie, then you need to see it!
Cars 2 (2011)
A nice change!
I thought that Cars 2 was a nice change from Cars 1 and Cars 3, which mainly focused on racing. (Of course, Cars 2 focuses on racing, too, but I like how it is also a spy/espionage movie.)
I just don't understand how this movie got so many bad reviews. It's a good movie, from one of Pixar's most successful franchise, besides Toy Story. It's a very good movie, and I highly recommend watching it.
Cars 3 (2017)
Meh...
I have watched Cars 3 a couple of times, so now I have decided to write a review for it.
First of all, how could they retire McQueen?? He was what the first and second movie was all about! Doesn't Pixar know that you don't have to age animated characters? That was kind of a disappointment. Second of all, I don't really like Cruz Ramirez. She isn't very funny, and I don't like how she is so aggressively yellow.
I do have some good things to say about Cars 3, though. It's animated pretty well, and I like the part of the movie at the beach where it takes forever for Ramirez to drive on the sand.
All in all, I have some good things to say, while I have some bad things to say. If you haven't watched all of the Cars franchise, and you have no idea what I am talking about, then go ahead and watch Cars 3. If you have watched Cars 1 and Cars 2, don't watch this movie. Many of the fans will be disappointed.
Toy Story 4 (2019)
Meh...
I loved the first three Toy Story films. They were all great. But what happened? I can tell you.
First of all, this was an unnecessary movie. It ended perfectly in the third film, where Andy gives his toys away to Bonnie for a new happy life. But then all of a sudden Toy Story 4 is being made even though Toy Story 3 wrapped up the whole Toy Story series. Second of all, after all those years of friendship, Woody decides to leave Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toys to go join Bo Peep! How dare Pixar, in my opinion. Third of all, why was Woody acting all "Oh yeah, since Bonnie won't play with me, I'm just going to join Bo Peep"? When Andy stopped playing with Woody in Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 1, Woody didn't give up! He tried to be played with!
Also, I feel like the rest of the toy gang hardly got any screen time at all! It mainly just focused on Woody and Forky, which I do not feel like was fair. I love Jessie, Slinky, Hamm, and Bullseye, and yet, they didn't appear in the movie much. Buzz got some screen time, but not enough!
Some things that I liked though were Forky, who was really cute and funny. I also liked Gabby Gabby, although she was a bit creepy, don't you think? I also really liked how Bo finally made an appearance. All in all, this movie is right down the middle for me.
Inside Out (2015)
Why did people rate this so bad??
I must be missing something as to why people are rating the movie "Inside Out" so badly. I am a 11 year old kid, and I did not find anything wrong with Inside Out. In movies, there is this thing called SET UP in the beginning or middle so that there is another thing called PAY OFF in the end. GOOD movies use this so that there can actually be something to watch.
And so what if Riley makes a mistake deciding that it is okay to run away? Everyone makes mistakes, especially characters in movies. If you gave Inside Out a bad review, then you need to watch it again. All in all, Pixar's "Inside Out" is a good movie, and deserves to be watched. This is all coming from an 11 year old.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
Meh
I watched this movie a few days ago, and I'm not sure I like it as much as the series and the books. This, in my opinion, was an unnecessary movie, since we already have the books and the show. I actually kind of liked the movie, but I didn't like the part with the train, since that never happened in the books or in the show. Count Olaf is actually kind of funny, but obviously evil.
All in all, this show is kind of down the middle for me. I kind of like it, but I kind of don't like it.
Aladdin (2019)
Why, critics, why?
I have no idea why almost everyone in the reviews gave this movie such bad reviews. It's a great movie, adding a bit more humor than the classic animated Aladdin. If you don't like it, try watching more than a few minutes of it.
While this movie is a bit different from the original Aladdin, everyone needs to understand that live action movies and animated movies are two different things. Some things just don't translate too well into live action. All in all, Aladdin is a great movie, so give it a chance.
Fuller House (2016)
Love this show!
Don't listen to the critics. Fuller House is an exceptionally good show. It is funny, modern, and over all is just a good show. The only problem that I have with it is that Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) are not in it, but other than that, really good show. I would definitely recommend watching it!
Coco (2017)
An amazing movie
I have no idea why I didn't watch this movie when it first came out. I just watched it a few weeks ago, and I learned that it was an amazing movie. It takes a wonderfully hilarious dive into The Land of the Dead. It is sad yet joyous at some parts. It is also very brightly colored, and I like that. If you haven't watched this movie, then you need to watch it now, because Pixar has done it again.
Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse (2012)
A wonderfully hilarious show
This TV show is humorous, great, and even funny for adults! A funny tour of the "Barbie" world with Barbie and her gang of friends. I would recommend this show for both children AND adults. :)
Fancy Nancy (2018)
Nancy acts like a brat
Recently, I watched a little bit of this show with my little sister, and I found out that Nancy is a big brat. She always wants to be the center of attention, and if she isn't, she throws tantrums and acts really bratty. Not a good example for younger kids. Most of the show is just Nancy complaining, whining, and acting bratty, until she "learns her lesson" two minutes until the end. Her lessons never seem to stick, and by the next episode, she seems to have completely forgotten about the last episode's lesson.
In one episode, Nancy gets mad at her best friend, Bree, for having other friends. In my opinion, Nancy acts like a big brat there, because it is okay for friends to have other friends. Nancy seems to act brattier in the TV series than in the book. I read some of the books when I was little, and I don't remember Nancy acting like a brat. All in all, if you want your children to act like spoiled, selfish brats, then go ahead and let them watch this show.
