Fight Club (1999)
Terrible
Absolute garbage. I hated it so much. I cannot believe I wasted two and a half hours on this. And I cannot believe how high it's rating it.
Someone recommended this movie to me and told me it was "legendary" so obviously I wanted to check it out, instant regret.
The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1 is because it had its good parts. And I can see why some people might like it. But I personally think it was a waste of time.
Interstellar (2014)
Pretty good
It's interesting, definitely had me on my toes. But it's not my type of movie. So would I rewatch it? Def not.
365 dni (2020)
Weird
It's weird lol. The girl is hot tho.
It also has a lot of scenes where things are forced so that's a bit uncomfortable:/
Kimbiseoga wae geureolkka (2018)
Just your average romance kdrama with a twist
It's an average romance story, nothing out of the ordinary, just as it is expected to be, which isn't a bad thing, it's what I was looking for anyways. But it does also have a twist to it, once you learn about the backgrounds of them and how it ends up you'll realize a lot of things you didn't realize at the beginning. It definitely makes things a lot sweeter than they already are and if you really want it to, it could teach you a few lessons here and there. But overall it's a great drama and I love the comedy in it.
The Girl with All the Gifts (2016)
Nothing extraordinary
Overall a good movie, nothing too special about it. I loved the characters and especially the little girl. Amazing acting but an okay plot. The ending kind of pissed me off but I won't say it's bad. Not everything ends the way you want it.
Never Have I Ever (2020)
Cringey but I relate to it
Most of the plot/acting was cringey and almost unbearable. I hated this show, let me just get that straight. But I did love the fact that I, as a central asian girl, can relate to a lot of the problems Devi had with her family and culture.
Itaewon Keullasseu (2020)
A great mix of everything
I don't understand why people are so disappointed with this K-drama. This is probably one of my top 10 right now with good reason. It has an amazing plot and amazing characters. It's a light hearted but also dark series, and comedic but emotional. The ending was amazing. And the best part about it is that it doesn't try to hide behind the stereotypical and standardized South Korean culture, it goes all the way to show its flaws and goods, and it breaks so many stereotypes.
Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer (2019)
Good with flaws
Overall a great documentary, great story telling from beginning to start. Had you intrigued and wanting to know more, so 10/10 for that. But it did have some flaws, there were many questions that were left unanswered, even though they were asked. Which makes it seem like they just forgot about it.
Gi-eok-ui bam (2017)
An unforgettable plot twist
When I put this movie on, I had no expectations at all. But to say that it met and went beyond any expectation I had on literally any mystery movie is and understatement. From beginning to end, you will never be able to predict what's about to come. It will have you question everything. It had so many plot twists it made my brain hurt (in a good way) and the ending was truly incredible and extremely sad. Your opinions will change drastically. And if anything, one thing this movie could teach is to never try to assume anything.
The Craft (1996)
Perfect
I don't watch a lot of old movies if I'm being honest. But this movie was recommended to me by a friend and since I had nothing better to do I decided why not. And that was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. This movie is amazing, I loved it so much. I loved every single character, good and evil. The acting was perfect. The style of it, the plot, the ending. I would recommend anyone and everyone to watch it at least once.
Beats (2019)
Terrible
Looking at the review I'm SHOCKED at how many high ratings there are. I don't know where to begin, so I'll just make it short: this movie was terrible. It started off on a good note and looked like it had potential. Then it started having all these cheesy and cliche moment, okay, I can live with that, the potential is still there. Almost all the way through and I started to really question it, there was 10 minutes left of the movie and it looked like it was going nowhere, and as I expected, it didn't. The ending ended them up right back to where they started, sure there was some character development, but definitely not enough to make it a good ending. I wanted to see change, something good happen, or even bad! I didn't just sit through the entire movie, dealing with all the cliche and cheesiness of it just to have it end right where it started. A waste of time honestly.
As Above, So Below (2014)
Good and bad at the same time
The movie was okay. The plot was good enough for something that I'd read in a book, not watch in a movie though. Something about it seemed almost too cheesy and bugged me a lot. There were times where things were so frustrating and illogical it hurt. And it was so unrealistic at some points it makes me wonder why some people say it felt like it was actually real.
