Dark (2017)
A very very good one which could have been reduced in the number of episodes
This is the most confusing series I have ever watched. Though I had issues with the pace of the series I really enjoyed things happening in it and especially the climax. But beware this is extremely one time watchable. So if you have an idea of seeing it again see until season 2 and start from there. Do not start season 3 without completely understanding season 1 and 2. The series could have been even more crisp. But still this one was very good.
Lockup (2020)
Neat thriller with top notch narration.
While watching this movie the first half seemed very uninteresting. But when it moved further and further it grabbed my complete attention. Narration stands out really well in this movie. Though we don't get enough emotional attachment to the charachters still the suspense keeps up hooked till the last minute. The bgm was not a very good one. Cinematography was kinda ordinary. Even the actors only a few of them put up a good show. Still tgis is definitely one time watchable. The pace and editing of the movie deserves a special mention. A good one watch it for the narration.
Khuda Haafiz (2020)
A fine and decent emotional Thriller.
This movie's biggest pros is definitely vidyut jamwal. Him carrying the role of a common man was phenomenal. Then the story. I had issue with the pace of the story in the second half. It had misplaced aong and pretty lengthy shots that could have been avoided. The accent of arabs speaking hindi was not put out very well. BGM was a very big positive. Most of the places had tension because of the BGM. Heroine and the rest of the supporting cast were good. The movie had realistic and slick stunts and also the chase in the pre interval was very entertaining. Only if the pace was good and the story was somewhat new this would have been a fine action thriller. But good. One time watchable.
La casa de papel (2017)
Where does the bloody hype come from.
I don't know why this seems so good. Stupid charachters. Stupid flashback. Somewhat good acting. Big scale. Fresh plot with a super bad treatment. Thats it you can watch this for the plot. But they never show the plot. Only flashbacks lasting for nearly 20-25 minutes every episode. Couldn't even finish the first season. Hell boring.
Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum (2013)
Brilliant screenplay! Excellent acting makes it a masterpiece
This movie is definitely worth watching atleast a thousand times. A simple plot and an exceptional screenplay drived the anticipating two hours. Amazing cinematography and sound designing was the top notch of the movie. Crickets chirpping footsteps guns with silencers every aound was clearly amazing. And bgm the symphony was the one that drived this chase movie. Acting was so good and dramatic but still looks good. Overall a clever movie that did not get the sufficient attention.
1917 (2019)
Technically as well as emotionally a hard hitting movie
This movie is a masterpiece. The whole movie in a single shot the clever cinematography never even makes us think of the invisible cuts. Also the climax was awesome creating the hype and an excellent ending. Everyone acted so well and it obviously deserves 3 oscars it had gained.
Psycho (2020)
An Intense psycho thriller movie.
This movie is definitely one new attempt in tamil industry. The movie doesn't much rely on the suspense but with the emotions of the charachters and the audience. Many places in the movie worked with this idea. Udhayinidhi okayish in hos role.
Psycho killer Ram hasn't got much acting scope but steals the show with his presence. However where the director fails is when conveying the emotions of the serial killer to the audience and also a few logic leaps. But still this intense dark movie needs recognition.
