The Orville: Into the Fold (2017)
A mix of good and bad, with a SOLID AWFUL overall.
A couple of people in my family like this show so we watch it. For the most part I like it too. IMO while not consistently great, it has some okay episodes. This episode was awful.
SPOILER Either the acting or directing was FANTASTIC because the two actors who played the doctor's kids were AMAZINGLY UNLIKABLE. You REALLY, REALLY wanted to slap them or shake her and tell her to be a better mother. Then at the end, the message was: it's okay to be an asshat toward people and to treat everyone, especially family and friends with disrespect.
Really? Is that why it appears no one gives a poop anymore? I must have been late in getting the message. Thank Orville. *sarcasm*
T2 Trainspotting (2017)
Really liked it!
Like some of you, I never saw the first one so I had nothing to base it on, but as a film by itself, it was really good and I'm glad we caught it. Now we're about to watch the first one and will probably leave a review on that one too. By some of the reviews on here, I bet we're going to be in for a great time. Thanks.
Little Women (1994)
Big Vocabulary..where's the subtitles??
**********WARNING....SPOILERS AHEAD!******************
I heard about this movie from all of my family and friends. I wanted to see it because I was told of how much of a romantic fairy tale it was. I was pleased with it, although....
What was with the whole beard thingy that "Teddy" grew in the end? And why did he have to marry Amy? It's like he was only using her to be part of the family, because he truely was in love with Jo.
The beginning of the movie was fantasticly created with all the old-fashioned dresses and such a tight family bond. Everything was great until they used a different Amy March. I know they had to, but I don't think the actress fullfilled her duties as Amy March. Don't get me wrong, she's a great actress, one of my favorites. But she just didn't fit it as Amy.
As the movie progressed, it began to get unsatisfactory. Everything just sort of zoomed by, and I thought it wrong to have Laurie and Amy marry. And I also thought it wrong for Amy to go to Paris. It just didn't click.
Claire Danes gave a spectacular performance, as did all the "little women".
This was a great movie, all in all, but I didn't like the ending. The acting was incredible, but toward the end, unsatisfactory. **** out of *****
The Karate Kid Part III (1989)
Cool Movie in all (some spoilers)
I'm a big fan of all the K.K. movies. I'm also a big fan of Ralph Macchio...seems he's gained a bit in this movie, but still a cutie! Well anyway, I liked this movie a lot. I bought it before I watched it (I thougth I'd like it anyway so..) and I was happy with it. I'm sorta wondering about Daniel and the red-head in this movie. Unresolved stuff there..umm..lol I wish he woulda found a girlfriend at the end of this K.K. series thing. I loved this movie, but I still like the first the best. I haven't seen the second one, but I will soon.
Daniel Larrusso and his mentor/friend Mr. Miyagi arrive back in California from a trip to Japan. Super meanie Kreese wants his revenge on whatever it is they did. Blah blah blah, Daniel finds a girl, he gets in a fight with Mr. Miyagi, they make up, Daniel wins the championship. Okay, great movie. Watch it for more detail. I liked it personally.
Anderusen dôwa ningyo-hime (1975)
What should I say about this movie...
LOL, everyone's comments are so funny! My parents also "plucked" this movie from a closing down K-Mart in a sales bin. When I watched it, I was looking forward to the happiness in the ending, and the wedding, and all that good stuff. Well..this movie is not quite as it seems.
This is for mature audiences..lol. I say she shoulda stabbed him so his blood touched her fin..and bladdy blah blah.
This movie is okay I guess...But I'm still a major Disney fan.
Fritz the dolphin..LMAO!!!
Cinderella (1965)
In my own little corner....
I loved this movie! It was absolutely fantabulous! It was romantic and sweet, and those songs will get stuck in your head forever! I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone, especially families! You can be whatever you want to be!
The Moon-Spinners (1964)
GREAT MOVIE
After watching "The Outsiders" last night around 11:00 am I fell asleep. I was awoken because a gruesome horror film was on tv and I hate films like that. I changed it to disney (I always watch disney at night. It's like the only CLEAN channel on) and I saw Hayley Mills in what looked like an old very beaten church with tombs everywhere. I looked at the clock and it said 3:00 am. I began to watch this movie and I got very interested. It kept me awake! I didn't even know the title, but it was such a great movie that I HAD to find out on imdb. I gave this movie a 10 because it was filled with excitement! Mark was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!
The Wonderful World of Disney: Model Behavior (2000)
Great Movie! Major Stud Fest!
I decided to watch this movie one boring evening because I'm a major disney fan, and I saw that Justin Timberlake was going to be in it. Could he, or could he not act? That was my question. He was great! The movie was great! But it turned out (in my opinion) that Justin wasn't the hottest main stud in the movie. Jesse Nilsson did and awsome job, and was EXTREEMLY cute! They did a great job creating this film. People, lay off Cody Gifford, he's like, super young! Yes, I know as Max, he did a terrible job, but hey, at least the kid tried! Kathie Lee was Barely tolerable, but how can you pay attention to the acting when there were such cute guys in the movie! I was totally concentrating on the guys, not the acting.
I ended up buying the movie...it was great!
Can't Buy Me Love (1987)
Great movie-great plot...great lawnmower...
I loved this movie! Honestly I didn't know why Ronald Miller was known as "the geek" cuz once he got fixed up..well, u know what i mean.. it was pretty sad how he ditched his friends to....so I was like, WAAAAAAH!! Well I don't want to spoil this movie anymore, but I recommend this movie to anyone over 13....(that whole bathroom scene on new years was just....not for children..lol) great movie!
Majo no takkyûbin (1989)
Cute Movie!
I'm not much of a cartoon fan, I like to watch movies like
"Bring it On" and my favorite movie "The Outsiders" but this movie drew me in..Kirsten Dunst does an awsome job as Kiki's voice. Kiki's Delivery service is my cat Binx's favorite movie. It's nice to take a break from reality and sink in your feathery bed and sip some hot cocoa and watch this awsome movie. It makes a great sleepover party movie, and a great family film. I totally recommend this to anyone and EVERYONE!
Wayne's World (1992)
ROB LOWE ROB LOWE!!!
I am a major ROB LOWE fan!! I loved him in The Outsiders and I LOVED him in Wayne's World!! But I also loved the movie. It was really hilarious...Garth is sooo cute,..(not cute, but like, pathetic enough to look cute) he looks so helpless! The end part with all the retakes n stuff was like..confusing but hey! I got to see more of Rob Lowe! Rob Lowe is like an evil dude in this movie, and so that's why I liked him better in The Outsiders. I gave this movie a 10 cuz it always cheers me up on rainy days...ROCK ON!!
Dirty Dancing (1987)
Johnny Castle made me MELT
All around, this was an entertaining movie. This is definitely not a movie to watch with your parents, or kids. I don't know what kind of occasion you could celebrate by watching this movie. A sleepover maybe? Well I'm just a big fan of Patrick Swayze, and I LOVE the way he dances/moves. Awesome awesome. But besides him, the movie was....well...wack. I mean it was a good movie, but well, I've seen better. I gave his movie an 8 for Swayze alone. :)
Sixteen Candles (1984)
Funny Funny Funny
Funny movie, I love how the Geek aka Farmer Ted's voice always squeeks!
How cute! Good movie!
The Outsiders (1983)
Very Very Tuff
This movie was an excellent movie. I was disappointed to see that it was only rated a 6.8 out of 10 because for sure I thought it was a 10. This movie not only had hot movie stars (Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, and Emilio Estevez) but it had a hot plot too. I read the book, and of course the book is always better because they have all the time to add in details, but with the time frame given to the video, the two were similar in comparison. I was reading along in the book as the characters passed lines.
This movie had very detailed scenery, and I couldn't help but to cry when one of the gang's boys (who shall remain un-named to keep the suspense) got shot by the police. The angry cries of one of the boys who got caught in that fire made my teeth chatter.
This has to be one of my all time favorite movie/book stories of all time. It teaches a story of young boys looking to belong. I totally recommend this movie to anyone of any age.
Great movie!
