Tell Me a Story: Chapter 2: Loss (2018)
"something uniquely sad about you"
Yup. That's it for me.
The most unbearable for me is the little red riding hood arc. Basically its just three teenagers drinking, vaping, doing drug and having sex, while spending their parents fortune, and acting like they are sooo much deeper cause they all have a "dark past". Lol give me a break. Its the most pretentious and awfully done teen show arc I've ever seen. There's nothing dark about privileged teen who look like supermodel alright? The show is basically a manifest of how out of touch and disconnected Hollywood is with the rest of the world. Show's obviously for some dumb teens.
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
THIS IS NOT THE DOCTOR!
The entire episode is just doctor and the other three running away from the mutated human monster on the future earth- orphan 55. All those running just to build up the most preachy and condescending speech ever! It's basically a big fat "HOW DARE YOU"!!!!
I was intrigued at first, mostly by the old couple and their sweet relationship. Yet that relationship serves NO PURPOSE whatsoever in the storyline, and was write off immediately. It's like some dumb writer need an excuse for the doctor to head to the danger so they create this couple (they literally are the only ones I cared about.)
The worst part is without the doubt THE DOCTOR!
You don't need an "excuse" to rationalize the doctor heading towards the danger, the doctor LIVE FOR THE DANGER! And the doctor most certainly does not run away and try to "blow up" an ENTIRE NEW SPECIES! Not to mention the "monsters" are somewhat sentient and intelligent. The doctor will try to reason with them (the doctor even reason with the Daleks!), relocate them or anything else. NOT telling his/her companion to place a bomb and blow them up!!!! And the doctor was freaking out the entire episode, she can't make up her mind what to do. One moment they're determined to save the old guy captured by the monsters, next moment she's panicking and things get hard, monsters coming, then she decided they need to run back and COMPLETE deserted the saving plan!!
The entire episode is full of unneeded subplots, and the subplot is not even good, it just seem jammed there last minutes and complete out of place.
To this point, the show is just dumb and preachy. And it's not even as "woke" as you think.
