Drishyam 2 (2022)
7/10
Good but the Malayalam version is so much better
18 November 2022
This is a sentence for sentence remake of the Malayalam movie - Drishyam 2. Ajay has delivered fine acting and some supporting casts are good too overall but dialogues aren't on par with the Malayalam version. Even editing, music, and build-up of the twists/suspense is better in the Malayalam movie.

Still, it's a worthy remake. If you don't want to watch the original with an English subtitle, definitely go for this movie.

Talking about the movie, I'd say that it's as good as Drishyam-1, if not better. Few can predict that story like it unfolds. You'll know when you see it.

I hope the makers go for another sequel - a part 3 - because this movie definitely has a built a good fanbase.

Paatal Lok (2020– )

In a world of shallow one-dimensional web series. Paatal Lok feels like a breeze of fresh air
25 July 2022
I can't tell a show originating from India that highlights social issues in a more real, subtle and serious way like Paatal lok has done.

Paatal lok has many stories in one series, each character has a background and their character gets depts as the story proceeds. The series has shown the ugly truth of media, the nexus of crime and police and complex Indian system. The movie raises issues of cate, religion, transgender and sexism and yet it doesn't seem "woke" at any point. It doesn't shove SJW activism down your throat, instead it highlights those issues though everyday dialogue.

In a world of shallow one-dimensional web series. Paatal Lok is a very mature entertainment.

Atleast someone is taking revenge on golddiggers. This series is more comedic than tragic.
13 February 2022
The story is pretty predictable and there's no suprising element in it. A few average-looking women believe that they stand a change with an ultra-wealthy handsome guy, they take a series of irresponsible decisions and get trapped in his con.

I watched an interview where they say that they can't be "golddiggers" because they paid money. By that logic, Nigerian Prince scam would never work. People pay money in greed to getting much more in return. Here they want a billionaire husband so they keep paying money when asked.

This story is not "this can happen with anyone" story like they present it. The guy is no Ted Bundy.

I'm sure than a women with an iota of self-respect and decency won't ever fall for this obvious fraud.

Errol Morris - the Clout Chaser. The old man would do anything to make a few quick bucks.
24 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The show ends at third episode, rest is unending rants and baseless suspicion of Errol Morris in an attempt to make a few easy bucks. It's an open and shut case with plethora of evidence present against Jeff McDonald.

DNA matching in 2006 made everything even more clear and obvious. There's no scope for suspicion left.

Errol Morris really killed his reputation trying to whitewash an obvious killer.

The fabulous life of Bollywood's *broke* wives
29 November 2020
One question- who are these people? Most of them are neither rich nor famous. I would love to watch fabulous lives of people WHO MATTER, but I'm sure they won't let Netflix peek into their private lives for a few bucks. Karan Johar probably made this series to help these poor people earn some money for the first time in a long time.

Money Heist (2017–2021)

If you think this is good then i guess you don't watch a lot of heist shows/movies
25 September 2020
This show is plain DUMB. It is full of plotholes and stupid dialogues. Characters are annoying and utterly unprofessional. Their master is one of those i-knew-it-already and you-fell-into-my-trap whenever something goes wrong. The story is one of those StreetSide cheap novels where police is always dumb.

Go watch prison break and maybe you can see the difference between a dumb show and a good heist show.

A movie about realities of life.
11 August 2020
Must watch. A really fresh movie without a vanilla ending. There are only a few who get to achieve their dreams, rest make compromises with their situations.

This movie is not about those role-models successful people who seldom exist in societies, this movie is about those uncountable number of people who see dreams and but couldn't realize their dreams. Someday somewhere they make a pact with their fate and let themselves flow with the current.

Cringe. Poor remake with cringe dialogues.
25 July 2020
People are giving sympathy ratings for no reason. SSR is not going to benefit from your ratings, people. The movie is a poor remake and probably, SSR knew this and that's why he didn't have much hopes from this movie. Dialogues are cringe, this character doesn't know how to flirt with women. Don't watch this movie to pay tribute to SSR, he won't even get it.

So sad.. they ended the show mid-season. Wish they had a 8th season as well.
16 February 2020
The show has a total of 7 seasons. Good show. Highly recommend. The only downside is that they didn't renew the show for the 8th season and ended it mid-way. There is a fan-made 8th season by two teenage kids D&D, but that's just terrible - not worth your time.

Go ahead and watch action packed 7 seasons of an epic saga.

OH MY GOD! Is Israeli Judicial System a Joke?
8 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Great documentary. It's a must watch. It opens your mind what a nation full of emotional people can do to seek revenge, to somehow find a person to hate and dump all their suffering upon him. Before the trial even begins, everyone is convinced that the guy is a nazi monster. My heart goes to him and his family.

I'm surprised that Supreme Court of Israel didn't accuse judges of being biased while giving a verdict. So shameful. Clearly, every judge was high on emotion from the very beginning, the dramatic ways witnesses were presented, the show trail. OH MY GOD. I'm from India and even in our own country (we are very dramatic) such drama doesn't run in courts. How could you possibly recognise a guy after 40-45 years with 100% certainty? Especially when you've being watched live by millions of people and your disagreements may cause disappointments and pain. No court convicts a man of mass murder solely on basic of witness accounts because witness accounts (even of recent events) can be flawed, brain is a complicated thing.

The hero for me is the Israeli lawyer who stood up and fought against this tyrannical court proceedings. He, alone, saved the state of Israel from a massive embarrassment and regret.

HOLYYYYYYY crap - The more you watch, the crazier it gets.
3 January 2020
I started watching this show thinking... okay... this is about hunting down an animal abuser on internet. Let's see how armchair detectives get this guy and an hour later...boom... you see the killer has reached the prime minister of Canada and Justin Trudeau talking about this lunatic.

It's unexpectedly good.

This show is WILD, definitely one of the best true crime I've ever watched. Its not boring for a second and keeps you on your toes. Please go watch.

Just watch first 2 episodes and forget. Don't bother to watch more than that.
1 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Looks like I'm watch a different show now. The show started with a bang and now it's so extremely stupid and dull I can't put my frustration into words. Episodes come and go and nothing happens. Whose baby is that? No one seems to care. Who this nanny really is? No one asks the question. Why won't she murder the house owners in their sleep? Do they care? No. What about the uncle? What happened to him? What was his point? I know there are shows that answers all questions in the final episodes but at least show the growth of storyline - the attempt the seek truth - show us the hunt - show us at least something, but NO, characters are living their lives like everything is nice and fine. If I have a creepy girl with a parent less baby in my house, I would freak the hell out. I would call the cops the second doll becomes a baby but this show has characters that are cooler than Russian winter.

Well done Apple TV+ Another dumb show.
