What was the point of Corey's storyline?!?!!!!!
21 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why in the actual duck would they even bother to write an entire plot surrounding Corey's character development to have him (almost certainly) killed off by Big Mike himself? Like what the duck. The "Halloween Ends" title with the Corey-centric plot certainly had us all thinking "Sure, 'Halloween' is going to end, like the ducking title explicitly states. But surely there will be a new saga about Corey and his assumption of the work done by Michael." So why in the duck would they pay to have such an incredibly elaborate story of Corey written to simply kill him off? This was the most garbage plot of the entire Halloween franchise. I feel genuinely sorry for those who have paid money to see this in a movie theater.

How to with John Wilson (2020–2023)

Feels good to laugh at, agree with, and relate to
30 August 2021
The cosmopolitan cesspool of humanity that is New York City creates the perfect landscape to observe people, some very seemingly different, but all really the same in one way or another. We all have things in common, and we are all weirdos. Thank you, John Oliver. This will stand the test of time as an archive to the world we are currently all subject to. Great laughs, touching moments of relatability. A new genre of comedy, huzzah! Truly nothing else out there like this. Comfort television in my opinion.

Visually enchanting, yet lacking in overall cohesion
14 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
From the very start, you can't help but appreciate the very detailed and thoughtful visuals throughout the entirety of the film. However, after about half of the film, these whimsical visions end up being quite misguiding for the audience when we are very much so still trying to grasp the plot. All was flowing in the journey plot, when oh, look! Giants! Giants who almost eat (?) this Fox guide and sir girwin, but decide to echolocate in unison only when the Fox guide implores them to do (idk), and then there is a sudden inversion shot of the sky (classic A24), and cut to the fox guide and Sir Girwin walking in some forest (no sight of the giants having dropped them off or really any explanation for what in the what just happened); At some point there is a castle and this hunter man, his very strange (daughter who is also a witch), and a blind folded woman...all of these people disappear after Sit Girwin kisses the Hunter dad goodbye? I have no clue. I'm still very much so questioning Sir Girwin's mother's intentions in provoking this whole situation.

Summons Uncontrollable Laughter
27 February 2021
This really is one of the funniest shows ever made. I can't go a scene without laughing, all of the jokes and nuances executed by each character hit without fail. I think the actors are having the best time and seemingly also struggle to contain their laughter. It immediately earned a spot in my all time favorite comedy series.

The ultimate feel good
2 February 2021
Similar to Dead Like Me, this show leaves you feeling optimistic even when the main plot driving point is Death...though I wish for infinite seasons of both shows, this one ends very satisfyingly with enough closure. I will never stop loving this show or wishing there was and endless supply of it.

Episodes 1-8 were good for me, but how did they let this happen....
29 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This continuance issue here is MAJOR, way more frustrating than a "goof"...how did this episode even happen? How is it possible for writers to get away with assuming their audience wouldn't be immediately confused by this reversal of so many of their characters' relationship progressions? This is a letdown. Despite this episode, the show is funny.

It's good if you mute every time Miley Cyrus opens her mouth

I'm 22, female, absolutely not a Republican, and also happen to believe that Miley Cyrus ruins a lot of things with her acting. She really made this weird for me.

Breathtaking
2 December 2020
Best movie I've seen all year...not sure how anyone could have anything negative to say about it. The "big event" happened within the first five minutes and had you emotionally engaged the entire time. Great ending, great action, and fantastic plot. Diane Lane and Kevin Costner were incredible. The shooting locations were breathtaking and so was the action. Don't listen to people who give this less than an 8 honestly.

So Glad I Actually Clicked on this Featured Series
7 November 2020
Usually, the "Featured" or "For You" selections are the ones I know I won't like (just feels like they are trying to push them on you too hard, ya know?), BUT THIS GUY is hilarious and worth the watch and rewatch. This is genuinely the series of much needed comedic realism for all of 2020 and it doesn't even verge into politics like literally everything else does! I think he just improv narrates random footage he has collected to generate plot for each episode, or it could just be his delivery of a loose script, but John Wilson certainly provides a refreshing comedic take seemingly about nothing with incredibly relatable actualizations edited together to compose each themed episode. 10/10 would recommend

There is something off and it's not intentional
26 October 2020
I was pumped to have stumbled upon this and thought "Wow! What an unexpected trio of pretty solid comedians. Love Schwartzman, certainly like Galifianakis most of the time, and Danson doesn't absolutely blow that often!" Unfortunately, I'm 5 episodes in and still struggling...The issue for me is most likely Ted Danson's tendency to try a little too hard in every role he has played since he became a silver fox , but it could also be the fact that there seems to lack a cohesive tone thus far. I think it just wasn't edited for the audience as much as it was to the writer's vision. I think it's going to get better, but it's taking some time to come together for me. 7.5/10

My First Review, A Necessity
12 October 2020
The fact that this absolute gem of cinema has a median rating of ducking SIX POINT NINE is exactly why you insolent fools (i.e. the apparent majority of IMDb reviewers) should NOT be enabled to leave their ducking uneducated opinions. If you rank this film below like a solid 8, at least, you really should have your PRIVILEGE to rate things taken away. You low ballers disgust me. Napoleon Dynamite is the best comedy of the twenty first century. Anyone who rates this below the minimum (an 8, at the very least) probably also thinks that Hollywood sellouts like Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer are good comedians, HA! In closing, I leave you with the reminder that, "You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant." -Harlan Ellison
