The Devil All the Time (2020)
Storytelling Masterpiece
No Superheroes, no car chases, and no explosions..... but it is a deep look into everything wrong with human nature. Beautiful and disturbingly realistic, well worth you time.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Maybe a little too quiet
So much promise, but a let down. Almost 500 days have passed, and you would think that humans would have figured out how to fight aliens with sensitive ears. I bet the audienbu could figured it out in no time, but they didn't ask us . They set up a part three, but please stop.
The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon (2008)
Make sure you have nothing else to do.
They really tried, but in the end it's just basic. Nothing is believable, so don't even waste your time trying to disect it. Shannon Doherty is the star, but not even she can save this film.
She Never Died (2019)
Underwhelming
Wow, an immortal who been around forever, but knows nothing. She's Lilith a fallen angel, so she should be more powerful that man can imagine. Instead, she cannot die, or plan ahead. Had so much potential, but alas, a failure on all points. The film did end with a setup for a sequel. Hope it's better than this film.
Beneath a Sea of Lights (2020)
Wonderful Experience
90 minute slow rollercoaster, with a touch of humanity at the end of the ride. Believably acted, with a director that let the actors be what is really happening all us. No filter, there is right and wrong.
The White Tiger (2021)
A gem of a gem
Can't believe viewers are complaining about the message. Strange no one complained about the message in "The Godfather". Instead, it was giver multiple Oscars. The White Tiger is a special dive into human nature. It is as simply beautiful, as it is dark and complex. The stage may be set in India, but the story is everywhere. Cruelty and kindness, the story of our lives.
Tôkyô monogatari (1953)
The essence of life
Slow and poignant, almost the mirror of a lifetime. A story greater than the movie, it had to be. We all know the story, no one is exempt from this situation. If not parents, it can also be another family member, or just a friend. The film makes you step back, and just look away for a minute. Years flow through your head, and you wonders what your life really means. Great film, great story.
The Evil Dead (1981)
Greatest cheapest film ever made.
A cult favorite for all time. The budget was pathetic, but somehow the frights just kept on coming. Way ahead of it's time when released, it will stand the test of time.
Mayans M.C. (2018)
Mayans, Mayans, Mayans ar
I hope the real Mayans don't watch this show. Reality has been pushed aside for theatrics. It's watchable, as long as you remember it's all in good hollywood fun. The SOA was ok, and the Mayans MC is about the same.
Candy (2017)
Unbelievable
The most unbelievable film ever made. The women were the eye candy, and that's about it.
Johnny Mad Dog (2008)
Exceptional Movie
The only thing bad concerning this film, is that it was tame compared to the true atrocities taking place in Sierra Leone, and other civil wars in Africa. All no name actors were so convincing, that it's hard to believe they were not playing themselves. The story of our lives.....pain.
The Well (1951)
Greatness on a budget
Maybe a "B" movie, but it's an "A+" story. The story racial complexities may be the same as ever, but hope and goodness are enduring qualities of life. Great performances and a good script. It grabs you early, and the ride is one you will remember.
Among Them (2018)
Really tried to like it, but NO
Seems someone tried to be smarter than the average bear, and wound up with a potentially good movie gone bad. Psychological crime thriller it was, but it would have been much better minus the psych.
Against the Night (2017)
Stop....go watch paint dry.
Watch if you dare, you won't get the wasted minutes back in your life. Sometimes bad is good, this is not one of those times. Stupid people in abandon jail, you know what's going to happen. The twists all through the movie couldn't save it.....it's bad. You've been warned.
Zooman (1995)
Story of the inner city.
Run if the mill inner city crime drama. Above average actors, and not a bad delivery by having the bad guy narrate. Can't pick your neighbors, and definitely cannot pick your criminals. Life is nothing but a bunch of curves, and this movie delivers a big one at the end. Never presented a final answer on who did the final deed, but instead let's the viewer decide. Worth the watch
Meek's Cutoff (2010)
Slow Burn Reality
Don't understand why people complain how slow the movie is. Life is slow, but people are moving too fast to notice. In that old west era, life was slow for real. This film did a good job of showing the viewer how tenuous life is. Yes, there were scenes of darkness at night, but that's how it was. Relax, sit backand immerse yourself in a good old life is hard story.
GasLand (2010)
One thing proves it's true.
The one thing that proves this movie is true is the MANY reviews that said that there is no proof that fracking has problems. So sad, but typical.
The Real Bruce Lee (1977)
Japanese bad guy with a Hitler mustache.
If your painting your house, and don't want to watch it dry, then this is the movie for you. It is so bad, it's good. The English dubbing and the fighting sound effects are the best things about the movie. It's a classic diamond in the rough, the way they use to make them.....bad. The Japanese bad guy with the Hitler mustache is a must see.
Seconds (1966)
Rare Gem
Amazing what you doing when you're not looking. This film is a rare gem, which needs to be shared with all of society. A story of great want, but winds up reminding us to be careful what you ask for. It will make you question where you are, and is there truly some better place to be.
Hagazussa (2017)
Disturbing
Jump scares are like candy, sweet, fast, and over. If you want something to stick with you, this movie is for you. The visuals are matched only by the ignorance of the times. It's a slow burn for your senses, just outright horror in it's purest form.
Lost in Space (2018)
Please, not another season.
Anyone who thinks this series is worth the time of day has apparently never seen the original. The original may have been campy, but it was interesting, and fun to watch. This new version is just slightly above watching paint dry. With the present technology, this version could have been out of this world, instead it belongs under the rug.
Viking Siege (2017)
Something for everyone 😀
Yes, it was a ridiculous movie, but you just cannot walk away. It has only BEAUTIFUL WOMEN(what are the chances of that ), MONSTERS, GOOD AND BAD VIKINGS, EVIL MONKS, and a ASIAN WHO KNOWS KARATE. Yes you must leave your brain at the door, but it's action packed and some kind of funny. Lots of twist to keep you on your toes. Give it a look see, you won't forget it
The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019)
Just beautiful...Period
Just a wonderful timely film. Some of the most beautiful scenes in any movie, combined with the musical score, and you have a masterpiece. Don't be surprised when you see yourself somewhere in the film, it's about life, past and present.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Terminator, Dark FLOP
They gave a little teaser at the end that there might be another movie coming. I'm begging you to please just stop. You've lost your way, and the franchise has been terminated.
Black and Blue (2019)
Great Movie
Read several negative reviews concerning black Hollywood. So sad that people feel so bad about themselves, that they look for negativity. Disregard the sad world, and enjoy a good movie. Mike Colter(Like Cage) and the rest of the cast did a excellent job. Get a big bowl of popcorn, its a fun ride.
