The Enchanted Christmas Cake (2021)
I thought it was super cute
I thought it was super cute. Usually characters can be annoying but I really liked this one. Yes her bangs are distracting but I liked the storyline and message. I mean it's a hallmark type movie so what are people expecting? I've seen some that are so cheesy that I can't watch past 10 minutes, but this one I liked and was able to enjoy the entire movie. As usual the scenery was gorgeous and really got me in a Christmas spirit. That's what it's about. If you go in just wanting to feel the Christmas spirit, you'll enjoy it. If you go in with a critical eye then you won't. But like I said, there's definitely worse ones. This one is cute and nice characters, and even had funny moments.
He's Not Worth Dying For (2022)
Really good for a lifetime movie and speaks about the times
Really good for a lifetime movie and speaks about the times. It's almost a social commentary on relationships nowadays with the lack of depth and social media taking over the lives of teenagers. People would rather film things than help. People would rather have followers than real friends. Yes it's cheesy at times but it's a teen lifetime movie. It kept my attention and the storyline stayed interesting. The characters are interesting too and had a lot of depth. I think teenagers and young adults should watch this as a cautionary tale. The bullying that can happen online can really hurt people in real life.
Keep This Between Us (2022)
The negative reviews on this clearly show the state of our society
The negative reviews on this clearly show the state of our society that doesn't understand Power Dynamics and how victims, students (whether girls or boys), high schoolers, should not be blamed for the inappropriate relationships and abuse that goes on. It's disgusting to read some of the comments blaming the girls that have had this happen to them. They are TEENS. The adults know what they are doing and it is not okay.
It's time predatory behavior is held accountable and schools are safer for children. Obviously the hypersexualization of teens in the media and especially now with social media such as tiktok etc doesn't help anything and aids in making children more vulnerable and susceptible to abuse. It's sad. Parents and adults that care, watch out for the signs. Take care of our kids.
Mack & Rita (2022)
Entertaining after the first 10 mins and good message!
I don't understand the terrible reviews, I mean yea it's a little silly but it's a cute comedy. The first 10 mins were a little annoying but then it got good and by the end it had a great message! Cute chick flick.
Here Before (2021)
I don't understand the low ratings
I don't understand the low ratings. This is one of the best slow psychological thrillers I've seen in a while. Great cinematography, grief, dysfunctional family dynamics, and good sounds.
The 1990s: The Deadliest Decade (2018)
One of the best crime series
Every episode is interesting and intriguing, great choice of cases too . I love seeing the 90s too and the way it brings you back. One of the best crime series. Really well done!
Morbius (2022)
I don't understand the low ratings especially in Rotten Tomatoes
I don't understand the low ratings especially in Rotten Tomatoes when other actual bad movies are rated higher.
It's a fast story development at first but by the end it makes sense because they had to cover a lot. Also the fight scenes and graphics are epic.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
No no no
What a waste of a great actress and concept. Horrible script and comedy writing
Can't even finish the episodes I start.
So sad for Duff. The original still stands as way better.
Life & Beth (2022)
If you like dark dry humor you'll enjoy this, also all 30somethings must watch
I'm laughing or chuckling every few minutes, so relatable to life. And gets better each episode. Finally a show on Hulu that caught and kept my attention since the pilot.
If you don't like Amy Schumer or her previous work you'll obviously not like this. But if you enjoyed her work before like I Feel Pretty, you'll enjoy this.
Tyson's Run (2022)
Great inspiring story and family movie
For some reason Fandango wasn't working when reserving seats for this so we booked from the theater. I write this in case you encounter same problem. Don't let it deter you from watching it. Amazing and inspiring flick and message!
Don't Look Up (2021)
This is the full length Black Mirror movie we all needed...
This is the full length Black Mirror movie we all needed. Media, government, celebrities, social media, tech, human beings in this society, everything. A full social commentary. I don't love all Netflix does, but this, thank you Netflix, thank you.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
I'm sitting here laughing at all the media doing EXACTLY what he expected them to do....
I'm sitting here laughing at all the media doing EXACTLY what he expected them to do....completely missing the point. You're a brave one Mr. Chapelle. You the GOAT.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
One word: ENTERTAINING.
One word: ENTERTAINING. Plus, great music. 10/10. Woody and Naomie were amazing.
False Positive (2021)
Entertaining
Whoever is saying the ending was a twist... I picked up what was going to happen from the first scene! Anyways, yes some scenes are weird but overall super entertaining. I think that in itself deserves a good score.
The Celebrity Dating Game (2021)
So fun! Can't wait to see more celebs
I don't know what all the hate is for, it's just a fun little tv show! Love the theme, the sarcasm and Michael Bolton's voice!
Pool Boy Nightmare (2020)
Good acting on the main guy and good chick flick thriller.
He surprised me with how believable he was. Good acting from him. It's an entertaining thriller for a chick flick night!
The Neighborhood (2018)
The one thing that was happy in 2020, and keeps on giving in 2021
This show cracks me up every time. Most comedies can't compare nowadays. If you're looking for some clean, fun, hilarious, laugh out loud, great characters... All packaged in 30 minutes, this is it. I'm here for it in 2021 and hope it doesn't stop anytime soon.
Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017)
Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised
I was wondering why make a sequel, but after watching I'm super glad he did. It got us laughing at parts and made us shocked at parts. Can't believe the farming industry is so messed up. Next one should look into "vegan" products which are just soy based and industrially created products that are terrible for the planet as well.
Wounds (2019)
Not sure why all the negative reviews...
I went into it thinking it would be just a thriller, and it ended up being a great horror flick. Horror films are all the same nowadays so I really appreciated the slow build, the character development and that there was a story line. The ending was weird but the rest of the movie was definitely worth watching.
