They All Laughed (1981)
Such a gem!
This movie is well worth the watch! It has an amazing cast, incredible music, and views of the skyline, streets and venues of a Manhattan that I remember so fondly. 1981, in my opinion, was one of the best years for movies of all time. The stunningly beautiful and talented all-star cast in this movie make the more simple script/plot work and become something magical in my opinion. It is a quiet movie and in many cases those are the best. It is dedicated to Dorothy and it is a wonderful way to remember her. Such a shame the movie was not released as it normally would have been. John Ritter is his classic awkward, lovable guy and this is my favorite role for Colleen Camp.
La Brea (2021)
Great idea, bad execution.
This is a great story concept with so much potential, but it is hampered by terrible writing and acting and low quality CGI. With so many amazing original TV shows out there these days, I expected better. I'm going to keep watching but only because I am a fan of the genre.
Little Women (2019)
Not great.
The first half of this movie was a hot mess. Jumping around in the timeline so much it was hard to know what was happening when. If you were not familiar with the story already I'm not sure how you would follow at all. The second half settled down and was better. The acting was not great across the board. The dialogue seemed forced, inauthentic and just all over the place sometimes.
