The Video Dead (1987)
Undead program that kills!
I saw this movie years ago and loved it ever since! Not only is the idea that zombies coming out of a cursed television is unique, these zombies are intelligent and have a bit of personality, also note that anyone bitten/gets murdered does not turn into a zombie as well(zombie film cliche). I love how they are turned away by mirror(also something not done in zombie movies) and become docile with kindness, provided you can act calmly as possible. Unfortunately the ending is really a let down because you obviously want Jeff and Joshua to win. But unfortunately, nobody does in the end and it ends on a cliffhanger. Definitely recommend to any zombie lovers out there!
Tusk (2014)
LOL HILARIOUS
I'm probably messed up for finding this movie hysterical, but seriously. WHAT. THE. EFF. Michael Parks is clearly enjoying himself in this movie 🤣 the idea is really freaking messed up, but the Walrus(Wallace) reveal is funny. He is in agonizing pain, yet it still manages to be hilarious. Especially when Howard is in the pool with him talking and by them Wallace is rolling his eyes thinking "shut up already". The most painful part of this movie is sadly watching Johnny Depp because his accent is a bit strange. I usually like Johnny Depp, but this roll definitely was not for him. I didn't even recognize him at first!
Ice Cream Man (1995)
Clint Howard, thank you for traumatizing me as a child
So this movie, it's bizarre and a bit stupid. It's definitely entertaining enough. I saw this years ago, like when I was 4-5 years old. All I remember was the eyeball scene and it stuck with me for years and entirely disturbed me at that moment. Years later, I watch it again and can't believe it bothered me. The acting is okay, the over the top flashbacks of Gregory being in the sanitarium is hilarious. I dont know what effed him up more, that drive by shooting, or actually being "treated" either way, it's a stupid and funny movie and not at all scary like my child self thought. I recommend this for a fun party and to not be taken seriously.
The Boy (2016)
Impressed.
I didnt/dont have much hope for later 2000s movies, but this was actually pretty decent. I honestly didn't think I was gonna enjoy it as much as I did. Worth watching if you like psychological horror.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Mediocre and Boring
I may be the only who thinks this movie is extremely overrated and over hyped. It was boring. Mediocre at best.
Terrifier (2016)
Bad acting, no plot.
While the acting was bad and there seemed to be no plot, it was still pretty decent as far as visuals. Best acting is the actor who played Art. I was gonna give it 5 stars, but my stomach was turned the entire time so I gave it 8.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
Too many people criticize this movie
While I get why, people still trash talk this masterpiece. As a stand alone film, it can be pretty scary. Not a lot of people seem to know that after Halloween II it was supposed to become an anthology but everyone whined about this film not being about Michael Myers so in the end they ended up getting the same movie at least a dozen times. I think the idea was unique, an evil Irish warlock using ancient celtic-irish powers and a stolen Stonehenge to kill anyone who wears the mask, this seems pretty genius to me. Not only the idea is fricken scary, John Carpenter's compositions make the entire movie eerie, a movie doesn't have to be "good" to me. Sometimes the atmosphere of the movie is enough to spook me. Again, people just criticize it too much.
