Caligola (1979)
The Greatest Film Of All Time!!!
"The most controversial film of the 20th Century is now the most controversial film of the 21st Century. This is the most historically accurate and beautiful piece of cinematic art ever conceived or put on film. The story follows the Rise and Fall of Gaius Cesar Caligua AKA "Little Boots" 3rd Emperor of Rome and Ruler Emeritus of The World. It shows the fall of Emperor Tiberius who both feared and groomed Caligula to lead and terrorize Rome. It shows the forbidden love shared between Caligula, Drusilla and Caesonia, and the scenes in the Temple at Capri must be seen to be believed. There are a few love scenes in the film that critics continue to complain and lament about, but this is erotic art at is finest. Macro's demise is another unforgettable scene. All in all, better than Citizen Kane or Gone With the Wind, Casablanca or The Godfather. This film is sheer genius, as far as acting, cinematography and Production Design. Peter O'Toole should have won for Best Supporting Actor and Malcolm McDowell, who simply IS Caligula should easily have won the Oscar for an unforgettable performance. Highly recommended.
Femmine infernali (1980)
VERY SENSUAL WIP CLASSIC!
Christina Lay as "Vivienne" scorches the screen in this shocking WIP sexploitation film. Not for the squeamish or faint of heart. Woman are imprisoned in a jungle hell prison camp and the evil and sadistic wardens enjoy using and whipping them. The alcoholic doctor is their only hope of escape. This contains everything sexploitation demands, and a lot of sweaty nudity. Highly recommended. I have seen similar films with Laura Gemser in this Italian genre favorite. Lots of Sappho love scenes, as well as bad acting and naked cat fights. The scenes inside the cells must be seen to be believed, as males and females alike demand Vivienne's love.
