Four Brothers (2005)
Mark Wahlberg is FINE
Nerd I say more? I enjoyed this movie the second time more than the first. Mark is a great actor and he's fine as heck. I'd watch him in anything. Overall this movie rocks as it's got great action and drama rolled in together. Someone kills these adopted brother's mother and they need to find out who and why. Amazingly heartfelt and exciting movie. Loved it. I'd definitely watch this a third time, it's just that great. The bond between these guys is strong and even though they're trouble they are ultimately good men doing the right thing. Avenging their mom's murder among a very corrupt police force as well as in a very corrupt city.
Baby Dust (2023)
Lifetime awful
Lifetime is a joke and it's so called movies are the punchlines that always fail to deliver. I guess I'm part of the joke as I watched this drivel. Two couples are best friends that shouldn't be. Lets face it, one of these couples are well past childbearing years. Add the fact that the older lady is a cray cray killer and the older man is an alcoholic, they shouldn't be procreating anyway. But Eve, the crazy one, gets jelly her friend is pregnant, and she goes on a killing rampage. Seems as though she can get away with a lifetime, no pun intended, of murders. We learn she killed her own father when she was a child, she kills a doctor, her own mother, and then her husband. She even tried to kill her childhood dog. The grand finale is her attempting to kill her best friend's husband, her friend and a cop who isn't a very good cop. Ridiculous.
A Deadly Surrogacy (2023)
Awful
Please go tear your hair out or watch paint dry. Either will be better than watching this drivel. This movie has a poor plot full of holes, no common sense and so much predictability that the viewer can see what's coming at every turn. No surprises or twists unless you're brain dead. One cliche after another. The brother gets himself into debt and wants to steal his sister's insurance money but instead of just doing that he sets up a grift involving a young woman who is a surrogate for his sister after her husband passes. He and his wife want a baby and can't afford to pay, so they choose this surrogate because she's also indebted to the brother as he loaned her money she couldn't pay back. Not sure why someone that's already broke is loaning a young girl money that clearly she won't be able to repay. It just completely compounds the problem. Even worse the brother also loans money to a con who just got out of prison and he can't repay his loan either. Big surprise there. Its so ludicrous that I'm laughing as I write this review. Who writes Lifetime movies? Drunken out of work soap opera authors that were previously fired due to poor skills? Good grief.
Beast (2022)
Stupid as crap!
Don't watch this. It's not good. Sadly I wasted my time. The ending is complete ridiculousness. His so called plan of going head to head with a lion isn't feasible. That lion would only need one swipe to kill him, and they're doing hand to hand combat. Ha ha!! The daughters kept taking off doing stupid stuff, the entire movie was cringe. I kept yelling to these fools that continually went off alone or got out of the car. Even Martin thinking he'd take this lion down with a small gun by himself was odd. The lion had just destroyed an entire village of people. The daughter dad emotional stuff was puke worthy. Elba must have needed some cash!!
The Grey (2011)
Fantastic!!
I love this movie and have seen it twice. It's got a very eerie feel to it. Wolves are interesting animals and I've always been fascinated by them. Liam's character is knowledgeable about the wolves and sets forth to save everyone's life after a plane crash that leaves them stranded in the stark wilderness in the middle of nowhere. The crash survivors have problems from the start and no one can trust one another or what's happening. The wolves can sense the vulnerability of these men and begin to stalk and surround them. It's a great suspense story and I loved every minute of this film. Lots if action and haunting scenes.
GLOW (2017)
Love this series!!!
Oh I wish they'd continue this series. I love it so much. Its funny and serious all at once. I was in high school in the 80's so I adore this era! There's no better music on the planet and they do a great job with the fashion and the music in this series. Better than most 80's based themes. They use a lot of obscure music, not just your typical stuff you normally associate with that decade. There are scenes that quite literally took me back and had me recalling things so vividly in my own life that it was like I was there. The best thing about this series are the actors and the character development. Great talent here. The viewer can tell this cast took their characters seriously. I especially love Ruth and Alison Brie is fantastic in her portrayal. Its a show that has heart and is about so much more than wrestling. I just really wish Netflix would spend less time creating junk thriller movies and focus on completing some of their series they left hanging. This deserves a final season.
Fatal Affair (2020)
Bad
Awful and ordinary script. Even though these actors can be good, they aren't good here. I guess they were desperate for a paycheck. Epps is especially bad. Could have casted the villain better. As in many thrillers lately from Netflix there are very few thrills. Its similar to a silly Lifetime Network movie. Nia Longs character makes poor decisions and comes across as an airhead. Just another boring senseless run of the mill suspense film with no real suspense. 😟
Fractured (2019)
Awful
Please believe the terrible ratings. I like thrillers and understand that the viewer often has to overlook certain things to get to the thrills, but this was worse than a movie on Lifetime. Fake, bad acting, horrible script, and senseless. I'd be embarrassed to have produced this hot mess.
