Deck the Halls (2006)
Probably one of the worst movies ever made.
After what would appear to be a promising start,( first ten minutes) this mishap falls miserably down on its face and never recovers. You would have thought somewhere in the whole production process, someone, anyone would have stood up and said, " this whole thing just sucks-lets stop wasting our money ." The production people should be ashamed, the actors should be ashamed, and the viewer should be insulted that this garbage is being cranked out. There should be some sort of class-action lawsuit filed against the studio, seeking damages to the public for this crap. Absolutely inexcusable, in that a Country so great as ours, with all our resources, that this waste would be allowed. I, and others in a line with me, demanded our money back at the theater. Think " Are We There Yet ? " with a bunch of fake snow. Worthless.
Man of La Mancha (1972)

An absolutely wonderful picture. Visually, some scenes seem like paintings-if only I could frame my plasma screen. The message in this film runs deep; an inspirational, yet intellectual " parable ". It is quite disappointing to see this film "compared" to the Broadway version, which is just another adaptation based on the novel,"Don Quixote". View the film as just another interpretation; instead however, fortified with the absolutely brilliant and moving performances of O'Toole and Loren. They were not cast for their singing ability-to get hung up on such petty trivialities only would rob one of the joy of to be gained from viewing this delightful work. This film was crafted more so to make one think, and ask why, and to look within oneself. "Man of LaMancha" does exactly what great film-making is supposed to -stir the soul and encourage the spirit.
