Gimme a Break!: The Robbery (1982)
A No Purse Look
I was 13 years old when I saw this episode for the first time. Ever since I was 11 years old, I have looked at a female's purse as one of the things about her attire that is different than mine and attractive to me. For the duration of this series, Nell, Katie and Julie have all carried some very pretty purses. It seems as if Katie was almost never without a purse. Julie (who was always my favorite) carried a purse more often than not. To the best of my knowledge, she always took a purse to school and on dates. However, in this episode, when she went with the family to the ceremony in which the chief got his award, she did not have a purse with her. However, I thought that the red floral dress that she wore was very beautiful! I also thought that her hair was styled very nicely. I believe that she was supposed to be 15 years old in this episode. In my opinion, this is one of several times in which she pulled off a very lovely no purse look.
Gimme a Break!: Mom's Birthday (1981)
A Double Delight
There were two things that I especially liked about this episode. In the first place, I am quite fond of the late Hazel Shermet. This was her first of three guest appearances in this series. The one that I thought that she was at her best was when she was the busy body on the pay phone at the hospital in the "Emergency". However, as the saleslady in this episode, I thought she was pretty good too. On top of this, I have always been quite fond of the way that Julie looks in boots. The boots that she wore that I liked the most were those of "Katie Steals Julie's Jock" which is from the second season. However, I also thought that she looked pretty hot in the boots that she wore to the Mexican restaurant in this episode. I had the biggest crush on her!
Will & Grace: Star-Spangled Banter (2001)
Grace in Boots
The thing that I liked most about this episode is the way that Grace looked in her new designer boots. Early in the episode, Will asked Grace for a donation of money to support a gay man who was running for office. Grace let him talk her into writing him a check for a hundred dollars. Will acted as if this was a bit of an insult from someone who has as much money as she does and her gets as much from the gay community as she gets. She responds with "give me a break Will. I just contributed five-hundred-dollars to the Paul Smith Fabulous Boot Foundation"! She then stuck her let out so that the bottom of her leather skirt met the top of her boot. Next she bent her leg back so the audience could admire it from that angle. Finely, she stuck her leg out again so we could have one more look at it that way. Seeing someone like Grace swish herself around in boots like that really made me drool!
Gimme a Break! (1981)
Hazel
Towards the bottom of the page of reviews, there is one by somebody who named several stars who, at one point or another, made guest appearances on this series. This list included Helen Hunt, who is, in fact, my favorite actress ever! However, another good one that I think deserves mentioning is Hazel Shermet. She made three guest appearances as three different people. Two of them were during the first season and one was during the second. The one that I really thought that she outdid herself in was the "Emergency". In this episode, she was a busy body on a hospital pay phone. I thought she was great! I have, in fact, written a review of this episode and it has been posted. I would be very interested in what anyone here thinks of it.
Caroline in the City: Caroline and the Return of the Sudsy Guy (1999)
Caroline Dancing
This is one of my favorite episodes of this series. In the first place, I am crazy about the perky exterior of Caroline! I think she is really hot stuff! In this episode, Caroline and her friend start to dance to the beat of "Funky Town". In my opinion, Caroline is a very good dancer. I think that she has a very sexy rear and seeing it jiggle really made my day!
Boys on the Side (1995)
My Favorite Line
One thing that I especially like about this film is a scene that takes place when the character played by Anita Gillette first appears. She plays the mother of the character of Robin played by Mary-Louise Parker. After a long ride, she gets out of the car and says to her daughter and the two other people living at the residence "Where's your potty? I'm about ready to burst!" I really admire the feminine that she shows in this situation!
Gimme a Break!: Samantha's Protest (1984)
Secondary Plot
The thing that I liked most about this episode is the secondary plot of Katie's giddiness over the handsome boy from the protest. She was giddy over him even before she knew that he was involved in the demonstration. Before the protesters were ready to sing, Nell commanded them to look arms for the effect of a chain of protesters. Katie (who was standing nest to the boy that she liked used both of her arms to grab him. She then positioned her body so that her bosoms were pressed against his upper body and her crotch was leaning against. Unfortunately for Katie, a very tough, no nonsense Julie was standing on the other side of her. Being that she was the brains of the family, she knew what Katie was up to. With her left arm wrapped around Samantha's right arm, she used her left arm to grab Katie's right, spin her around and said "like this Katie!". In the mind of a decent girl like Julie, Katie's crotch should be facing the same way as the crutches of all of the other protesters and Katie's arms for be positioned in the same respectable manner as the arms of everyone else. Good for Julie!
Gimme a Break!: Katie Steals Julie's Jock (1982)
My Favorite Episode
This is my favorite episode of the whole series! The thing that I like most about it is the way that Julie looked in the outfit that she wore on her study date with the handsome football player. I especially liked the boots that she wore! In my opinion, she looked like centerfold material in that episode!
Gimme a Break!: The Emergency (1982)
My First Episode
This was the first episode of this series that I ever saw. I was 12 years old at the time. The thing that stuck out in my mind was Nell's interaction with the little busy body on the hospital pay phone. I really fell in love with the "your purse, your purse!" line! Oh the memories!
