Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Firebending Masters (2008)
I usually don't care much about animation, but the visual in this episode had me in awe.
I usually care more about story rather than visual. ATLA has already demonstrated their story telling skill.
And since ATLA is a show that produced in 2005-2008, I never expect them to present animation as visually magnificent as anime nowadays.
But this episode, the whole "Masters", dragon dance, and the final "judgement time" sequence are so well done, and truly put me in awe.
How can an animation debut more than ten years ago produced something so gorgeous and magnificent. I watched those few minutes sitting at the edge of my chair, and all I can do is just appreciate how brilliant the ATLA production team are.
I'm so glad that I decided to pick up this show and watch. Can't wait to see what ATLA are going to offer next, I can already feel it's gonna be wild!
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Siege of the North, Part 2 (2005)
Masterpiece
I've watched lots of tv shows before, and ATLA definitely has one, if not the best, character development. The chemistry between characters are so on point, and all the development pays off in this episode.
And ATLA's fantasy world is so well-construct as well. The story cultivating though out the previous episodes, and end up with this astonishingly brilliant finale. The scale of the story are just incredible for a "kid" show, and is better than almost all the high budget fantasy series out there. I really glad I found this masterpiece.
I just started binge watch this show recently, and I'm very looking forward to what's about to come.
Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Marty's character arc at the end is out of line
I think as for Marty's character arc, he should have stood up at the end and save Ruth.
I feel like the whole season is developing Marty as a person that, even he always put his family first, but still somewhat remain humanity.
It is unreasonable for him to just give up on Ruth, even without any dialogue or even emotion from Marty toward Ruth at the end.
It is sad that Marty and Ruth are the dual that literally started the whole story, but ended up without any proper tie up, really sad.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Warrior (2017)
This episode worth rewatch hundreds of times.
When seeing this episode for the first time, that big reveal feel kinda abrupt to me.
But after rewatch for several times, this episode become greater and greater.
Magnificent soundtrack with outstanding performance of voice actors, the atmosphere cultivating and exploded at the end.
This episode worth rewatch hundreds of times.
Rick and Morty: The Ricklantis Mixup (2017)
Simple Rick, but not a simple episode
That Simple Rick plot-twist was just so astonishing.
