Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Don't listen to the critics
The first avatar was good. It was pretty, it was simple, it had some nice thematic elements and callbacks to pieces of history, imperialism, etc. The Way of Water is a beautiful epic that ties together every thread it spun in a way that I cannot describe here without being hyperbolic or spoiling the movie. It was and is a top 3 movie of the year, in my opinion, and lives up to every bit of hype and hope created bY the first one. Critics call it shallow, meaningless, or easy to follow, but I would argue a movie that does all the legwork for you so that you can spend the time comparing the feelings and experiences to your own instead of thinking about a plot twist or an unreliable ending is worth all the 3 hours and more. This movie will hurt your heart, make you laugh, and put you in awe of what James Cameron has been working on since the recession. Do not walk to the theater, sprint.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Life is a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing
This movie paints a picture of life for the majority of people, living somehow connected to men they've never met, influenced by people who had nothing to do with anyone. It's a movie about a snapshot of a web of people, nothing more and certainly nothing less. Beautifully written, beautifully acted, beautifully told. 10/10, not a flaw.
Woodlawn (2015)
Solid, not great
This movie did what gods not dead tried, but only marginally better. The writing was stilted and awkward, the acting can't really be blamed, as it's working with a less than stellar script, but the overall story and the backdrop of Deep South perseverance on the football field carries this movie through to a 6, but no higher. Overall, worth a watch if you're in a mood for remember the Titans but you've already seen remember the titans.

The best game since God of War
I have a very tight list for my 10/10 games, and that list hasn't gained an entry since 2018's God of War. Based on all metrics available; Graphics, gameplay, story, acting, combat systems, and overall refinement, this game is flawless. It surpasses god of war in many of those areas in my mind, making it my second favorite of all time. The ONLY mark on this game's record, however, is the climbing mechanic. Buggy isn't the right word, but I'm constantly stuck because my left toggle isn't EXACTLY pointed where it wants, and I often fall to my death because the grappling hook, for whatever reason, doesn't appear when I'm mid jump. These just seem like such small and easy to fix details, and the developers made the wrong decision in my mind. Making me jump before I use the grappling hook, as well as choosing to use the toggle method rather than jump from each handhold like God of War or Breath of the Wild were poor decisions. They aren't poor enough to bring the grade down, but they're there and have affected the experience. Overall? 10/10.
God of War (2018)
Game of the Decade
Very seldom have I ever found a video game that enthralled me like GOW. From the combat to the graphics, the storyline to the voice acting, this game is at no point boring, at all points suspenseful, and in all definitions of the word, perfect. It's as easy as you want it to be, and even if you skipped the combat entirely, the strictly cutscene "movie" version would be and should be an Oscar winner, without argument. Kratos finding himself, as well as dealing with his past self and how that intersects with the new Kratos we've come to love is truly the best character writing and acting I've seen in a video game. This game is everything to me, and I cannot implore you enough to play it. 10/10
