The Cars That Made the World (2020)
Great Narrative and Presentation
It starts from around late 1880s until mid 1970s, so it DOES NOT cover the last 50 years or so. The documentary essentially shows how the traditional car companies started off and their journey to success via a drama like narrative with actors and the surroundings neatly set up, occasionally featuring old footage along with voiceover from a few individuals who are related to the automotive industry in some way. Struggles and challenges of different companies are shown in parallel in context of global events.
All in all, it gives an overview of the evolution of the automotive industry, covering decent amount of information. Highly recommend watching it.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020)
Absolute Trash, Decent 3D.
The following is my rating breakdown:
2 Ratings for the 3D Effect. Better than I expected.
1 Rating for the movie, because the fact that I am able to write this very review is testimony of my survival. Hence, it definitely deserves 1.
My words cannot even begin to describe what kinds of atrocity the movie throws into the face. From Attack on Titan attacks (pun unintended), to every single superficially delivered dialogues with basically no proper acting to back it up. I am no professional critic, but God has made me a living breathing, SANE human. If someone buys these things, well at least you got a free diagnosis for a severe mental disorder that you might have had been suffering with.
Fun Fact:
Ajay Devgn was in this film. I was gloriously shown the Vimal advertisement during the interval, with of course, Ajay Devgn savoring that proudly. Then the warning of smoking/tobacco came, which shows the sufferings of such behaviors.
So, if the actor, ad, and warning were somehow intentionally correlated by someone working in the production team. Hats off to you sir/mam.
