Ahsoka: Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord (2023)
Unworthy Ending
I am a big fan of the Ahsoka character and her story from both the Clone Wars and Rebels and was excited to see this series. I do wish someone other than Rosario Dawson played the role though. She looks the part but has none of Ahsoka's personality and athleticism. Btw, Sabine's actress isn't very good either. Up to the last one I had rated no episode lower than 8.
I have thought all along that Ahsoka would either be killed or stranded to explain her absence from the god awful sequel trilogy, so I wasn't surprised she was left behind. There are endless open storylines that can be played out in that galaxy that are not governed by canon which is great.
However, Ezra is now in the canon world and it's his character now that has no explanation as to why he wasn't part of the sequel trilogy. Curses to Abrams and Johnson!
I'm hoping they'll figure it out with a somewhat reasonable explanation but one of the main reasons to have left Ahsoka behind ends up being negated.
Since there seems to be no decision on a second season, we could end up just left shaking our heads.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Alloyed (2022)
Won't Watch Another Season
This series was just plain bad. Bad writing, bad directing, bad acting and only mediocre effects. The only interesting characters were the Harfoots but they could only carry so much of the weight.
I was never a huge fan of the LOTR books or movies but they were well done. The producers and writers wanted so much for this to be a heavy edge of your seat series but it failed miserably. Even if you had read the books and knew what was supposed to be going on, this was a befuddled mess of story telling at best. Amazon won't be able to spend enough to fix it.
I wanted to like it but I will definitely not watch another season.
The Terminal List: Reclamation (2022)
Poor Ending
At the end we have Reece just appearing out of nowhere on his "Brother's" boat in the middle of the ocean off Peru with his friend unaware, completely healed from his wounds somehow. Very little explanation of the final scenes at all. The last thing Reece does is throw away the drawing of his family his daughter had done that had his kill list on the back. Apparently the only reason he had kept it was the list and not the love of his family that supposedly motivated his revenge killings and all the peripherals he killed as well. A very lame ending...
The Terminal List: Disruption (2022)
Yikes!
This series requires you suspend disbelief and this episode was just too much. Reece's one man war in the heart of San Francisco was so far over the top, not sure I'll watch the remaining episodes. It's action packed but c'mon man...
The Princess (2022)
Lame
This was nothing but the same fight scene over and over with an attempt to make the deaths progressively more grotesque. Bad acting and unimaginative writing.
The Orville: A Tale of Two Topas (2022)
Another Snoozer
Despite the woke story line, this episode would have been far more tolerable had it been at least 30 minutes shorter. It was very hard to stay interested in.
The Orville: Electric Sheep (2022)
Long and Dull
What a preachy, woke and way too long piece of crap that was! Much the way most of season 2 was. The music and acting was pretty bad as well. The effects are above average which is the only reason it gets a 2 rating.
Suspicion: Unmasked (2022)
Awful Conclusion
The conclusion was just crap. Preachy climate change crap at that. Wasted time watching this series. Probably made AOC and the anti oil company crowd happy.
1883: Racing Clouds (2022)
Ridiculous Writing
So the Lakota Sioux have their camp right by a road used by settlers? C'mon... In a series with a lot of bad writing, this episode is one of the worst. It was filled with F bombs in a time period where that word was barely known, much less used as a catch all purjorative.
Despite that, the characters and base story line keep it good watching as does the videography.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger (2022)
Strange Episode
Only redeeming part of this one was Cad Bane's appearance. Out of nowhere Ahsoka just shows up to deter Mando from seeing the kid. No explanation at all as to why she even knows Luke and his location or that he was training Grogu. The training itself was just plain comical. Loved last weekend's episode but this one was well... very strange!
1883: The Crossing (2022)
Lame
Pathetic episode with bad writing and worse acting. This series wants to something profound but it's just not. It gets compared to Lonesome Dove which was on a much, much higher level.
1883 (2021)
Mostly Good
The acting is good but only fair writing and directing. Wagon chase scene of episode one was not well done at all. The salty language, especially the "F" word, wasn't used in those days.
Only Murders in the Building: True Crime (2021)
Tried to like it
Steve Martin's acting was tolerable but Short and Gomez were awful. The story has potential but probably can't get past the acting.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 14: The Tragedy (2020)
Really?
Geesh! Yet another Star Wars character resurrected from the dead. Apparently because of fan demand. This has become way too common for Star Wars. Who's next? Yoda, Darth Vader?
"My son, Grogu is. Hurt him, you will not!"
"He will join me and turn to the dark side or he will die."
Maybe then we get a great lightsaber battle between Yoda and Vader while the now useless Mandalorian character stands by lamenting, "No, he's my son now!"
Actually that scenario might keep me watching...

The Mandalorian: Chapter 13: The Jedi (2020)
It Should Be Ashley
This episode while interesting does a complete disservice to the character Ahsoka Tano. Dawson looked the part somewhat but had none of the personality. The lightsaber action wasn't Ahsoka's trademark style and her force ability would have been far superior than what was shown. I also don't believe Ahsoka would have responded to Grogu the way the Filoni had it written. What's up with that Dave?
Bottom line is that it's ridiculous that Ashley Eckstein wasn't allowed to continue in the role! That alone is enough to lose interest in the future of the series.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 10: The Passenger (2020)
Thanks Disney...
Disney is working its Star Wars "magic" again. Strange episode with no real appeal beyond its special effects. If we're lucky out of the season's meager 8 episodes there will be 2 or 3 that are meaningful.
