Those Who Kill (2014)
Heinous crime
This show totally deserved a second season.
This is on a par with Firefly getting cancelled.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
Amazing
I am genuinely worried about the mindset of this games haters, and what must be a very simple and naive world view.
In this game you get to see the same story from two sides, there are no clear lines of which is the "right" side.
To be critical of the ending is to have missed the whole point of the game.
Yes there are losses, painful ones.
There are LGBT characters - get over it.
There is no ride off into the sunset, happily ever after.
Well sorry, this isn't a childs fairy tale.
This is a universe seen from two perspectives, both love, care and want to survive, both have dreams and ambitions. Unfortunately these are exclusive of the others.
Amazing graphics and sound, beautiful animation, brutal and terrifying encounters.
A masterpiece.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Rushed downward spiral
I ultimately get why so many have been disappointed by this episode. I too felt like we missed two episodes where Danny starts to get isolated, paranoid and vengeful, and the character changes we were presented with feel like they've come from nowhere.
But unlike most, I'm happy with how it has ended.
Danny had to die, Jon Snow shouldn't get a happy ending just because he's a main protagonist.
Arya' was never going to be able to settle into a "normal" life
Everything realistically ended a bit muddled and messy, no-one was happy with any outcome, but check your history books, that's how momentous events often do end.
My 10 stars is due to the fact that it looked amazing, the loose ends were all tidied up, and I dont need to see something on the screen to be able to join the dots.
Yes, it could have been a lot better, it should also have been more detailed, but 1 out of 10 from most reviewers seems almost petulant to me.
