Tomb Raider (2018)
We want a Tomb Raider 2 with Alicia!
I'm a huge fan of Tomb Raider and have been since playing the games 15 years ago. I watched this movie in theaters when it first came out and I had so much fun. It's not a perfect movie by far and the writing wasn't the best, but I still really enjoyed it.
I think the main reason why I liked it was because of Alicia Vikander. She's a wonderful actress and loved how she portrayed Lara Croft in this movie. I was worried at first because i hadn't heard of her and she didn't necessarily look the part, but when I actually saw the movie i thought she was perfect. I can tell she really cared about the role and put so much effort into making her convincing in the action scenes. I mean she got absolutely ripped and trained months in advance.
Because of Alicia Tomb Raider deserves a second movie, hopefully with better writers. It's such a shame that the second movie was canceled because of being in pandemic limbo for so long, but I hope it gets un canceled and starts production again. It has so much potential! The ending was really setting up a second movie and I just need to see what happens next.
Let Alicia come back as Lara Croft!
The Witcher: The Cost of Chaos (2023)
Worst season so far!
I'm a huge fan of this show. I haven't read the books or played the games, but I loved season 1 and 2 despite its flaws. This season is the worst so far, it's pretty embarrassing how bad it is and how much the quality declined from season 1 and 2.
The writing is pretty bad, the cgi is so bad it looks ridiculous at times like when Ciri was riding a horse. A lot of the scenes are so badly written. All the actors and actresses are amazing, but even they couldn't save these scenes.
The makeup and costumes are embarrassing. Everything Yennefer wears looks like it came straight from H&M, especially that purple top and clown pants which her character would never wear. Yennefers wig looks fake and is way too thick/heavy for her. I don't understand why they couldn't just use her natural hair like they did in the first 2 seasons, they could have just given her extensions instead if they wanted it longer. She looks so "off" because of this wig, and Anya Chalotra is one of the most beautiful women I've seen. Ciris makeup base is way too much, it's just caked on and that bronzer is too dark on her.
I love looking at the costumes and makeup in shows like this, so this probably upsets me more than the average viewer, nonetheless it is very annoying to watch.
This show had so much potential to be amazing but the writers ruined it, I understand why Henry left now.
I will probably watch the next season and drop the show if it doesn't get better. I will be watching for Yennefer and Ciri after Henry leaves. Henry cavill is Geralt and I can't imagine anyone else playing him.
The Game Changers (2018)
The truth is sometimes hard to swallow
So many crying "propaganda!" just because they don't want to hear the truth. They want to continue eating meat and make up every excuse to continue with their bad habits. If you want to eat meat, there's no one stopping you but at least acknowledge the truth and the hundreds of studies that all points to the same thing.
Since switching to a plant based diet, I have so much more energy. I had my blood work done a few weeks ago and I'm in perfect health. I also still eat chocolate, burgers, pasta and everything I did before.
I also want to point out that many go vegan without any research, and just start eating vegan processed foods with no variety in their diet. After awhile they switch back to eating meat and start saying vegan diets are unhealthy and that it made them sick. So it's very important that we eat a plant based diet with a variety of plant foods such as beans, quinoa, lentils, nuts, mushrooms, leafy greens, healthy fats like avocados etc. It's also important to take a b12 supplement, because as they talked about in the documentary, this vitamin doesn't naturally develop in the soil anymore because of how things are farmed and sanitized nowadays.
By eating meat we destroy our health, we destroy the planet and cause so much unnecessary suffering to 70+ billion animals. Animals are being put in gas chambers, boiled alive, living in metal boxes their whole lives... just for the taste of their flesh.
Let's take back our health and protect the earth, and our animal friends.
Amazing documentary! Thank you!
Ahsoka: Part Five: Shadow Warrior (2023)
Episode 4 and 5, absolutely perfect!
Amazing episode. I'm so happy we are getting another great Star Wars show after Andor.
I'm really loving Ahsoka so far, but episode 4 and 5 are incredible and I hope the series keeps this level of quality throughout the upcoming episodes.
I loved the scenes between Anakin and Ahsoka, and I hope we get more scenes between them again soon. All the characters are interesting even the smaller side characters, the acting is great, the cinematography is BEAUTIFUL.
The next episode can't come soon enough, it's been long since I've been this invested in a show and I'm not easily impressed.
Thank you Dave.

Secret Invasion (2023)
Boring, Bland, Uninspired
It's just so... boring.
I can appreciate a slow burn, but this show is so slow and boring that I don't even feel the slightest interested in the story or any of the characters. None of the characters seem to have any personality, they just walk around looking depressed or confused. The story feels uninspired, the setting looks boring and depressing. Heck even the colors in this show are almost all grey, It's like they put a grey filter on it to make it even more boring which fits the story perfectly.
The skrulls makeup looks soo bad.
I honestly have nothing good to say. The only thing i like is seeing Emilia Clarke in something again, she may actually be the only reason I'm still watching this show and I'm giving this 4 stars for Emilia Clarke only.
Marvel is losing it.
The Last of Us: Infected (2023)
Amazing episode but I don't know how I feel about the tendrils
Absolutely loved this episode. It was a lot slower paced than episode 1 but this time we really got to see more of the characters. Bella is so amazing as Ellie, I couldn't be happier with her performance so far! She is Ellie. Pedro is of course amazing as Joel and Anna as Tess. The casting is on point so far.
We also got to see clickers for the first time in the show, which was so well done. They look exactly like in the game and the actors playing them nailed the performance.
However, one thing I'm not sure about so far is the tendrils. I understand why they couldn't use spores like in the game and the change doesn't add or take away anything from the story overall, except for the end scene with Tess. Something about that scene with Tess felt out of place, it was more disgusting and weird than scary to me. It gave me the ick, but not in a cool or creepy way. It just felt weird and out of place.
I had no issues with the tendrils before that, but I just feel like they are leaning into it too much. The tendrils scene took me out of the moment and Tess death didn't even feel sad anymore because i was too busy feeling weird about the tendrils kiss, and I cry everytime I play that part in the game.
Idk, it's a small issue and doesn't take away from the episode overall, but it took away from the impact of that scene for me.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
People hate this game because they don't understand it.
This game is beautiful, unique, horrifying, dark and emotional. It's a very realistic and mature story and only people with emotional depth will be able to fully understand the true meaning of this game.
It's been more than two years since this game came out and I still think about it from time to time. After i played it for the first time i felt really confused and shocked and i wasn't even sure what i thought of it. After i got some time to reflect on the story i finally started to understand it and i realized what a masterpiece it is. No story has ever made me feel such complex emotions as this one.
This game truly explores the nature of humans and what it's like to love someone else so deeply, and how grief can turn anyone into a person full of hate and rage.
This is a masterpiece that many people just won't understand. Just because the story didn't go the way you wanted it to go doesn't mean it's bad.
For the people giving this a 1/10 because of gay characters, grow up!
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Beautiful movie, but storytelling was lacking
I'm a huge Avatar fan. I have seen the first movie many times. Avatar is a masterpiece in my eyes.
I went into it thinking I was gonna have the same experience as the first one. The visuals/cgi are once again the best I've ever seen and there were a lot of things I loved.
However, the story fell flat.
Here's the things I disliked.
The middle of the movie felt like a teenage drama movie. I mean the way the Navi kids bullied Jake's children felt like straight out of some teenage high school movie. I get that they are similar to humans in that way, but it really brought me out of the immersion. It could have been handled differently.
The use of words like "bro" was absolutely ridiculous. I get that they learned it from Jake, but it doesn't fit and once again brought me out of the immersion.
A lot of the characters lacked depth and personality. Kiri was my favorite new character, but Loak and Neteyam felt so one dimensional. Loak's only character traits is that he "doesn't fit in" despite acting like a typical teenage boy. I wanted him to have more personality, and I hope he does in the future movies.
The anti whaling message was too in your face, and the more I rewatch it the more obvious it gets. Once again it brought me out of the immersion. The scene with the whale just feels like it goes on for so long. The Australian captain felt like some one dimensional cartoon villain.
Jake and Neytiri basically dissappear from the movie during the whole middle part. There's just way too little scenes with them.
This was almost exactly the same story as the first movie. I don't mind them bringing back the villain and I actually ended up liking that choice and how they gave him more depth.
But there's nothing complex or new about the storyline in this movie. I'm telling myself that this is only part 2 out of 5 movies, and I really hope that the story becomes more complex in the next movies and that the characters are given more depth. As of right now I only care about Jake, Neytiri and Kiri. I want Neytiri and Jake to be given more scenes because I really haven't been given a reason to root for Loak. I'm sorry but he feels like every teenage boy I've ever met.
I just felt like this movie was lacking the magic that the first one had.
It felt more like a movie made for kids and teenagers.
Avatar 2 feels like a huge set up for what's to come, and I am excited for the next movie. I just hope that James listens to the criticism and makes some changes, this could be an amazing movie series if done right and I'm sad to see my favorite movie get a sequel that doesn't come close to the magic of the first one. The first movie was absolutely magic, and I hope the next movie goes back to that.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
A very special and touching movie
This movie was fantastic. It was actually a lot better than I expected, i went in with the expectation that it was gonna be good but nothing special because I wasn't a huge fan of the first one. I was very wrong because this movie was amazing. It really touched me in a way I wasn't expecting with the emotional scenes. The costumes were absolutely gorgeous. The music was incredible and cinematography beautiful. I loved that they included the Mayan culture.
This is definitely the best marvel movie in a long time for me, I haven't enjoyed a movie this much in awhile. There's just something about this movie that feels very special and different.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Written by children for children
This show is written for children since the writing seems just like that of a show written for 7 year olds. I just can't believe how any adult can enjoy this show. I mean sure it has some good moments and scenes but overall the writing, dialogue and acting (except for Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen) is pretty horrible. Some scenes are actually so ridiculous (like the one where Leia is being chased) I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing. How was this even approved? You'd think a show with such huge characters and actors would actually hire have good writers and directors.
There's a lot of negative things to say about this show, and despite some really good scenes the bad outweighs the good here. I'm actually surprised to see the rating be anything higher than a 6.
Time to go watch Andor to cleanse my eyes!
Andor: Nobody's Listening! (2022)
Another amazing episode!
All episodes so far has been great. When the credits rolled my first thought was "how am I gonna wait a whole week for the next episode??" Because it's just so exciting, especially the prison storyline.
This show is like a breath of fresh air after all of the disappointing shows we've gotten previously. This actually feels like it's written for adults unlike some of the others shows, I mean the writing, acting and cinematography of this show feels very unique. I really hope this shoe gets a season 2, and even more after that. Can't wait for the next episode!
Also Andy Serkis is amazing as always.
Andor (2022)
Finally a great star wars series
Wow! Finally a star wars show written for adults with good writing, acting and interesting characters. When I first watched rogue one I had pretty low expectations but by the end it ended up becoming my favorite star wars movie. That's exactly how I feel about Andor, but after how much I loved rogue one I had high expectations this time... and I was not disappointed.
I just watched episode 6 and wow what a great episode, I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time. This episode is my favorite so far and I really can't wait for the next one.
After how disappointing most of the star wars shows have been (especially obi wan) this is really refreshing to see.
Isanghan byeonhosa Woo Young-woo (2022)
Beautiful
This drama absolutely blew me away. I started watching it with low expectations but it got better and better and a few episodes in I couldn't stop watching. I binged the whole show in just a few days
The story is beautiful. I loved the romance between young woo and jun ho, and i fell in love with all the characters. All the characters had so much depth and personality, even the smaller characters. This show really touched me in a way I wasn't expecting it to and it made me feel happy watching it.
Korea definitely knows how to make amazing and unique shows. I would really love to see a season 2.
Sarangeui bulsachak (2019)
So touching, funny and romantic
This is one of the best shows i have seen and it's my favorite k drama ever. The first 2 episodes are a bit slow and over the top but after that the show becomes amazing and gets better with every episode. The story is very romantic and touching, and it's so much deeper than i ever through it was going to be.
The story not only revolves around the love story between the two leads but the relationship between Yoon Se-ri and Captain Ri's company five was also very touching to see. Their relationship was one of my favorite things about the show. The love story between Ri joung-hyeok and Yon Se-ri made me giggle like a little girl... it was so romantic and i was smiling like crazy in every scene between them. I was also crying in some of the very emotional scenes, and by the last episode i was absolutely bawling my eyes our
This series is also incredibly funny and made me laugh out loud several times, especially the scenes with the company five in south korea when they were trying to fit in and act like south koreans, i was smiling so much my face hurt afterwards! Those scenes were just gold. The company five (as i call them) brought so much life and joy to the series.
Each character had so much depth and personality i fell in love with every single character.
I'm so happy i found this show but i'm also sad that i will never get to see these characters again, i just love them all so much!
House of the Dragon: The Heirs of the Dragon (2022)
Please stop with the s*x scenes
This was a pretty good first episode! I'm still very bitter about the last season of game of thrones, but I'm still excited for this.
However..
I am begging the writers to stop with these annoying s*x scenes. I was hoping there wouldn't be as much of these scenes as in game of thrones, i'm a huge GOT fan but i really hated those scenes. They add nothing to the story and are just put in there as filler.
I don't want to spend 5 minutes or more of every episode in a brothel watching someone's naked a$$!
The only difference these scenes make is i can't watch it with my family.
Please just have s*x scenes when it actually adds to the story.
Keep Breathing (2022)
SO many flashbacks!!
I actually like the survival scenes in this series and i feel like it could have been really good.. but the flashbacks destroyed the series and almost made it unwatchable. There's flashbacks every 20 seconds or even less, every episode feels like 90% flashbacks. Also the scenes with the "ghost" characters talking in the background was ridiculous and completely destroyed those scenes.
I'm really disappointed. It could have been so much better.
Prey (2022)
Amazing
This movie really surprised me because i was kinda expecting it to be bad but this was actually a really good movie!
I really liked the characters and actors, the fight scenes were great, cinematography on point. Will definitely watch it again sometime.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Felt like a parody
I love Thor ragnarök and i usually like Taika Waititis work, but this completely missed the mark.
The entire movie, especially the first half, felt like a parody and was way too unserious with jokes in almost every scene. Some of the jokes felt straight out of a SNL skit. The constant trying to be funny made the whole movie childish and dumb. Some of the jokes were funny, but most of them weren't.
I feel like Thor movies should be funny, but it also needs to feel like a story and not just a parody.
I love Korg but even he got annoying after awhile because it was just too much.
Valkyrie and Jane was the best thing about the movie.
I still enjoyed it, but it was definitely the worst Thor movie so far as well as one of the worst Marvel movies. The best experience i had today was seeing the Avatar trailer before the movie.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part IV (2022)
Who wrote this??
Last week's episode was a step in the right direction but this episode was just as bad as 1 and 2. I'm so disappointed, this show could have been great. The writing is lazy, childish and ridiculous at times. I'm actually embarrassed for the writers, i mean this is one of the richest companies in the world and the most beloved franchise and they couldn't even hire decent writers? Yikes.
I keep waiting for Revas story to start and for her character to become more complex but she just feels like such a one dimensional and stereotypical villain. She could have been a great villain but she's just so boring, and it has nothing to do with the actress it's all the writers fault. The actors are the best thing about this show.
I still enjoy the show if i remove all expectations and turn of my brain.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
Seems like a show written for children
I really hope it gets better but so far the writing is bad. Some scenes are absolutely ridiculous and i feel like i'm watching a kids movie at times.
I was really hoping this series would be something i could look forward to every week but i'm just disappointed.
I still have hope that it gets better.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
Not impressed
I want to love this episode but there are so many things about it that bothered me. The actor for Leia is not a very good actor, most of her lines seem so unnatural and forced. I know she's a kid but i've seen kids half her age act better. Also that chase scene looked like it was made by a 5 year old.. just ridiculous.
I want to love the new villain because i'm a fan of the actress but I don't think she did a good job here. She isn't intimidating at all and her acting in this episode wasn't very good, which is weird because i've seen Moses ingram in other roles and she's a great actress and i was excited to see her in this.
I really hope it gets better but so far i'm not impressed. This show seems like it's written for children..
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab (2022)
HOLY SHHHTTT
This was the fastest hour or so of my life, damn this was so good! Vecnas backstory was brilliant!
I was kinda worried for the first three episodes because i wasn't a huge fan of them, but after that it just kept getting better and better and especially episodes 5,6 and 7 were amazing. I can't wait for the final two episodes!!
Stranger Things: Chapter Two: Vecna's Curse (2022)
I feel like I'm watching paranormal activity
I like the duffer brothers so i hope they're gonna explain what's happening in a good way... but so far i feel like i'm watching paranormal activity. The creepy ghostly visions and the ghost/monster creature is just weird and doesn't feel like stranger things. I like almost everything else about season 4 so far but something about that whole plot line feels very off to me. I hope it gets better.
Charlie's Angels (2019)
A lot of fun!
To be clear I don't think this movie is a 10/10 but i just wanted to even out the ridiculous 1/10 ratings. Honestly people rating this 1/10 are just immature or mad about Elizabeth's comment, which I definitely don't agree with but cmon does that small comment really ruin everything about this movie?
This movie is a lot of fun and that's what it is, a fun movie. It's not trying to be something it's not and the performance from the actors is good. Some scenes made me laugh and some were a bit cringy. I really liked all the new angels and seeing their relationship develop throughout the movie. The three main actors made the movie for me.
I would give it a 7/10 and i would definitely watch it again.
