Shirley (2020)
Score one for the writers!
Clearly great American literature and great American cinema is lost in today's feeble minded people...
It is such a rare thing when a film can fill you in the mind as well as in the senses. This movie is full with thought, grip, beauty in madness, and characters so full of life they hold you for every moment and every minute.
This movie is a character bio on a great novelist and writer Shirley Jackson and a house guess. From the moment the first words are spoken the well-suited mind is immediately taken in for a look behind the curtains. Lust, provocation, inner torture, and a beautiful stifling of madness and insecurities. A brothel of loneliness.
We watch as Shirley Jackson tries to continue work on her novel all while being babied and appease by those around her for the simple thought, that it is the beauty in her madness that allows her genius to flow through the ink in her typewriter as she masterfully pieces together horror and mystery that will engage the reader to come.
This is a great movie for those with a reasonable amount of thought. It is clear in her mind she is piecing together a mystery of an affair that has nothing to do with her but she must in body this state in order to dive into the dark depths in which to bring this side story to life on page.
It is clear that one feeds the other. As to say Shirley's husband being a professor and critic of literature knows exactly how to bring out the brilliance in Shirley. And her pregnant house guess is there to peel off the layers. Excitement and thrill in every scene, a twisted and seductive and sadistic allure that I couldn't help but watch till the very end!
Must watch, amazing cinematic experience, and a beautifully brilliant ensemble.

Betty (2020)
Skate Kitchen's Parallel universe
Director Crystal Moselle hits another landmark for her amazing ability to tell story through moving picture. Her eye for realism is quickly apparent with every shot. Her shots bring warmth and truth like no other. Although the dialogue may seem to lead nowhere which is almost part of the beauty the story is there. It's a group of girls meeting for the first time and quickly bonding through a shared interest getting into a male dominated skate hole. They start hanging out "chilling" at its simplest. Skaters being skaters in New York City. As they traverse the lively streets getting into vans with people they've just met, some they might know already for an ultra funny smoke session. A great moment with some great laughs. The old man giving out candies...watch out for him! The acting wasn't five stars but it's real. And real is comfortable. Watching this makes you real comfortable. It's almost like your laying on a couch with all your friends in the middle of a New York City skate park with the coolest girls in the city. I expect great things to follow with love, friendship, growth, and skateboarding. "Must watch, binge worthy"
Murder Mystery (2019)
It's been awhile
I am a big fan of Adam Sandler's and his feel good romantic comedies, so with a heavy heart I have to say this movie was truly disappointing. Tired writing and heavy misses with the comedy. Honestly don't know what happened it's a great story, it should have been fun to watch but it just made me want to go to sleep. Every punchline fell flat in its face and at every turn I honestly could guess every outcome. Give it a six stars only for concept, star power and visuals.
Flupa! Out one two punch blast off.
Booksmart (2019)
Loopholed
This is a very funny comedy, there's a lot of great moments. But if I'm honestly speaking it's a tail that has been told time and time again. Minus the new cool waves of millenniums and the one gay black dude in the whole movie and the nice scenery, crazy hysteria and really awesome dance routine and also the eccentricity in camera play and the visuals of trippy euphoric vibes made it bearable to watch I'll give you that. One hit and done ✅ for me. Now someone call Flupa! An Uber cause I'm blasting off again!
The Professor (2018)
Hello Hank
This feels a lot like Californication from the bright lighting to be the up heat over sexual fantasies of what a writer turned professor blissfully wishes his life was really like. A not so original coming to terms with death and the realization that we all die, pour and crass but not lacking some comedic moments, you can tell the budget for this movie went into the cast aka mostly Johnny Depp the rest of the cast was B list at best but they put a lot of effort so good for them Zoey Deutch was plain as always guess that's why she gets the big bucks or is that buckets, not a come back role but at least Johnny hasn't lost his acting chops the only reason to watch this movie , hints money well spent script and writing unoriginal but that's just my opinion seriously not ever watching this Hank Moody rip off ever again bye Flupa! Out here 🚀
The Dirt (2019)

Fighting with My Family (2019)
Oddly satisfyingly average Flupa!
This movie is bland but has some funny moments and some very subtle inspirational scenes, weirdly good but very basic. I was happy to see Dwayne Johnson Portray the rock again. Definitely brought me to some nostalgia days back when i used to watch wrestling as a kid with my grandmother. Vince Vaughn brought another dodgeball inspired acting style to the screen, pretty much the same old acting he always does Trite and boring in every movie but good for him he's made a great career out of it you cant blame the guy. Overall Not the worst experience for Flupa! at the movies so far..!
The Deuce (2017)
70s softcore fluffy!
Well what is there to say, besides the ever confusing James Franco twin brother fiasco And aggressively old Maggie Gyllenhaal and the amount of absurd nudity this series offers I must say it isn't terrible I watched the whole first season before starting the second and absolutely wishing I hadn't immediately subsequently turning it off on season 2 episode 1 if It was not for the excellent cinematography costumes and great writing i would have never been able to stay focused enough to get through even the first season. Fell short when it came to piecing it together and season 2 i don't know what they was thinking seems the writers got tired and bored Dont understand. But if you like to watch haggard women get Nude then this might be a good show for you, as for Flupa! I had to hold back some gagging reflex. This is showtime after dark with real actors instead of real p**n stars, watch in good health Flupa! Out!!!
Wine Country (2019)
Flupjinger!
Star studded cast of overaged relics nicely paired with cheesy comedy and played out writing, if this movie doesn't kill you then you must be made of metal supper hard to watch. Embarrassingly awkward Dry and simply seems like it was slapped together with some masking tape. not even my drunk goggles I was rocking could me help with this movie no amount of wine in my shelf not even my top shelf could have prepared me or equipped me to watch this movie, sorry ladies this is a hit and a total miss straight out of every single hole. Flupa! Out ****yo!$!
Ophelia (2018)

Lukas (2018)
Flupado
I don't know who Jean-Claude Van Damme had to sell his soul to but I am so glad he did. Boom bam bing one two punch and ass kicking Jean-Claude Van Damme will kick his way back into your heart with his sweet but subtle playfulness of a child illuminating on screen with every emotion. The old school veteran pulls out every basement acting class trick in the bag to bring you a true profile of a bouncer at a crossroad in his life gripping and daring, this movie in no way reminds me of (The Wrestler (2008 film) France cinema at its peak so buckle up sit down pour yourself some wine And enjoy because Flupa! Said so
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
Flupatitu!
Zac Efron brings a thrilling portrayal of serial killer Ted Bundy into your homes, with this gripping new look into the heart and mind of a gripping serial killer in denial And the woman who surrounded him. This thriller keeps you in suspense and keeps you watching all the way through you can't take your eyes off the throbbing Efron and his glooming costar Lilly Collins. If you don't know much about this case then this movie is perfect. You're heart will feel not only for the women taken by his heinous crimes but along the way you're heart will somehow seem to feel for the killer himself with such a masterful play with emotion, Zac Efron has truly showcased his skills for acting. Beautifully written And masterfully pieced together this movie is a must see three thumbs up or my name ain't Flupa!
Dead to Me (2019)
Flupi!
I must say watching two white woman pretending to get high overlooking a scenic beach view was awkward to say the least this being said Netflix has made another winner a hit a spicy new concoction with some extremely raw writing that showcases real humanity. Unable to look away as these old cougars Bring to light some real acting chops and some savvy not to be mistaken for saggy, Wits about them. If your not impressed by this then my name isn't Flupa! With crazy spoilers right from the start, a great cast and even greater writers you will feel suspended in this suspenseful dark ROM com, so all eyes on Linda Cardellini the hottest spinster of the neighboring old folks home and Christina Applegate the Brooklyn tough mature as they navigate life alone in the crazy streets of Newport. Watch out for mustangs as this ride is sure to be a bumpy one.
Shazam! (2019)
Somebody try and stop me
The disappointment in my face is overwhelming out right over powering as the tears I desperately try to hold back come pouring out uncontrollably. I've waited for Shazam! to become a reality for years now. I don't blame Zachary Levi although it was he who did not fit his costume with his lack of build and tiny body you cold clearly tell he was out of his League. Zachary Levi Had no right to be made a lead man what was Hollywood a thinking you don't bring C list to A list he was best as chuck stick to what you know Zachary Levi and Hollywood please come back to reality and realize we won't just accept who you decide to shove down our throats. At the beginning I must admit I almost tried to overlook Zachary Levi odd face portrayed as Shazam! But right I as thought that! The movie took a slippery slip off a Banana Peel down a 84,000ft skyscraper landing directly on top of its head cracking its skull spilling blood all over at the movie theater and audiences face, what a terrible tragedy somebody please save me!
