Destroyer of Worlds (2018)
Long story short
I'm 40 male huge movie buff. Dramas are hit and miss, romance/romantic comedies, comedies in general, musicals very meh..I like sci fi, horror, fantasy, action, adventure, suspense, mystery. Most movies combine these genres into a cash grab, but this movie is simply a short film. An idea someone had about a different sort of time travel movie, replete with every genre I listed above, into a nearly faultless, long short story. Give up an hour and watch this on YouTube tonight
The 'Burbs (1989)
Favorite Tom Hanks movie #8
I'm 41. I literally grew up watching Tom Hanks (th). Many of my favorite movies are th. Big. Saving Private Ryan. A League of Their Own. The Money Pit. Turner and Hooch. Philadelphia. Castaway. What I've slowly learned over all these years, is th is my favorite actor. He became the regular guy that got attacked by life and reality in every movie. Initially his comedy became bravery, then flourished into drama. He's so ordinary, he's extraordinary. That being said, this is my least favorite of th movies I still love. (I only hated Joe vs. The volcano). The 'burbs is perfectly nostalgic 80's movie making at it's best. Everything is perfect. The funereal music soundtrack is ridiculous on point. Every actor, especially Dern, is on point. This movie is an 80's gem because EVERYTHING in this movie is current, funny, relatable. Just like my man th. The 'burbs is hilarious. Watch it, especially if you like th
The Dragon Prince (2018)
This show is a must see!
This show is like the sphinx, or like the leaning tower of Pisa. 99% perfect. The flaws add to the perfection. There are no bad guys. Rayla, Ezran, and Callum, may be the protagonists, but Viren, Claudia and Soren are hardly despicable bad guys. In fact, they have qualities we can agree with. There are no bad guys. Just politically juxtaposed ideals and steadfastness in their stances. This show is basically just as good, maybe better than Game of Thrones. It's a family friendly version. These characters are magnetic, substantial. Every character has redeeming qualities we can relate to. 100% certified fresh? I fully agree. This show is a must watch for everyone
Legends of Tomorrow: Egg MacGuffin (2019)
Literally why I Love this show
First review...I'm 40, sci fi/fantasy is my genre as are comic books. Grew up in the Lucas/Spielberg dominated years. I was also terrorized by The Dark Crystal, Neverending Story, Labyrinth. Alien. In awe of Back to the Future. Top Gun, and then in 1989, That was the year DC released their greatest movie. Look it up, find out, and WATCH IT, YOU TIDE-PODDERS! (I do think WW was second best.) Btw, my all time favorite episode of LoT is Here I Go Again.
Anyway, just setting up a rant to go on about how my obsession with DC media was set in motion 30 years ago. This show is about the heroes you don't hear about. The patsies. Like Suicide Squad, but PG family friendly, funny, and yes, corny AF. Now about the show, SPOILERS

This show was hot right away. We get to see Zari and Nate navigate around a definite attraction that's been building. We get to see Mick reveal himself to Mona and a fluttering of damsels, that he is the great (ACTUALLY GREAT!) writer of romance novels. Ray gets his hand possessed and says "this is not groovy" LOOK IT UP PLASTICS, WATCH THAT TOO. Constantine back, saves Nora, then she's inducted into the deepest depths of our heroes handlers, the Time Bureau. A lot of stuff I missed , or didn't elaborate on, like how I've been gunning for Zari and Nate, ever since I saw Here I Go Again, or how I knew Rory would reveal, and blah blah blah blah, I could talk about this one episode for many novels..really re-inspired my love for this show. I love them all, but this is my favorite CW show!!!
