Killer Joe (2011)
Trashy Movie About Trashy People
If you like a depressing movie full of violence and stupid people, you'll love this.
There are no redeeming characters in this movie.
You want all of them to die -- they are too stupid to live.
This movie is about a low-class family who all make stupid decisions.
What was Matthew McConaughey thinking making this piece of trash. After seeing this movie plus a couple of others he's made lately, I'm beginning to think that if he's in the movie -- avoid it!
You would think that at least on character in this whole movie would have a redeeming quality. Trust me, they do not.
My Gal Sunday (2014)
PLEASE - no more of these
All I can say is this is dumb, dumb, dumb.
I was one of the gullible who wasted two hours of my life watching this move.
The plot has so many holes, it would seem to be written as a class project in a 3rd grade class.
The acting is mundane.
I laughed at how simplistic this whole thing was.
I watch Hallmark quite a bit and this is the very worst "movie" (if you can call it that without laughing) that they have ever aired.
If I ever see the group in My Gal Sunday come back as another lame movie, or heaven forbid as a series, I will avoid it at all costs.
Completely unbelievable and sophomoric.
What in the world was Hallmark thinking when they televised this?
Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)
I haven't laughed so hard in years
This is the funniest movie I've watched in years and years. I laughed so hard, tears were running down my face. The actors portrayed their characters as just ordinary people and were believable. The acting was subtle and underplayed which made this all the more enjoyable. I've recommended this movie to my sons, my sister, my neighbors, and to perfect strangers in the video section of Walmart! I wish Hollywood would put out more movies that are this hilarious. My son watched it with me the second time I watched it, and he said it was the perfect "drive-in" movie, and he was going to go out and buy a copy for himself. By the way, I also bought a copy for myself!
Secondhand Lions (2003)
One of the best movies ever
If you want to watch a really great feel-good movie, then this is the one for you. I've watched it 5 times since it first came out, and as you can guess, I own a copy. Robert Duvall and Michael Caine were perfect as the two brothers and Duvall was especially wonderful as a cranky curmudgeon with a heart of gold. I also enjoyed all the extras that are included on the DVD, such as the alternate scenes and the alternate ending. I highly suggest that you watch them after seeing the movie itself. Wish Hollywood would make more of this kind of movie. Great story, great acting, great feeling after you watch it -- what more can you ask!
