Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel (2021)
So cringeworthy
This started so strong in the first episode and the history of the hotel was interesting.
However the main focus of this was youtuber's trying to get fame by promoting their YouTube channels and conspiracy theories
More focus on the family and Elisa's life Or the hotel itself would've been better
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Pointless - a plot never revealed itself
I love QT films so rushed to the cinema to see this, what a disappointment.
I waited and waited for a plot to reveal itself but this movie just kept meandering in different directions revealing new information about characters or potential story lines then they just stopped dead. I felt myself willing the film to end but it just seemed to drag on, offering nothing in the way of a story line or character development.
I left the cinema questioning what the point of the movie was, it just seemed to go nowhere.
I Love My Mum (2018)
Average, far fetched but not completely terrible
Went to see this film last night and I am totally shocked to see every review on here is 8,9 or 10 stars.
The movie is very unremarkable and forgettable, the plot didn't add up in a few places and there were quite a few things included in the movie that didn't add anything to the story line whatsoever.
Although, it is light-hearted and there are a few funny parts.
Kierston Wareing's character of the washed up party animal mum desperately trying to keep her son by her side to cope with her abandonment issues was the highlight for me. Although Tommy French plays the part of the exhausted son, embarrassed by his mum's flirting very well. The duo's acting almost redeemed the far-fetched plot.
Line of Duty (2012)
Fantastic British show, you'll be gripped from the start!
Like the previous reviewer I stumbled upon this show by accident. I saw it on my Netflix home page and had never heard of it before but decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!
This show is unmissable! The acting is fantastic, particularly Martin Compton and Vicky McClure (no surprises, they are both fantastic in everything they appear in) and the story line is fantastic, I was hooked from the first season.
This show is definitely worth a watch and the new season (season 5) currently being released on a weekly basis on BBC is phenomenal, it's a struggle to wait a full week for each episode!
