Good show but overuse of slow-motion montages to the point of ridiculousness
21 April 2024
Good show with an original concept and universe, paced well mostly, great work by. Walton Goggins is great as the ghoul, delivers his lines and the character's cynicism really well. Ella Purnell's done a fine job as well, lending to her character the impression that she's actually grown up in a vault, and lacks understanding of 'normal' social or ethical norms etc in scenes - good bit of detail. Aaron Moten is alright, but is a bit too awkward in his acting which can come off a bit inconsistent with his character and off-putting.

The only annoying thing about the show is the often meaningless slow motion montages to random retro music. It is way overused and often feels completely forced and out of place.

Aside from that it's a fairly well made show - they've obviously practiced some restraint and selectiveness with CGI and that helps - the visuals never feel too artificial or messy.

Such a stupid film
14 July 2023
Saw the rating and went for it. What a brainless, poorly acted film. Seems like a student project don't know how it made its way on to streaming platforms. The ratings are probably from the people who made this because the film doesn't deserve a 2 star rating even. Bad acting, bad plot, bad direction, yikes. I'm pretty sure I lost a few braincells enduring the sheer mindless writing and story of this film.

It starts off looking like a cheap project but against my better judgement I stuck with it thinking I could be wrong. I wasn't. Save yourself the half an hour or forty minutes that this film is and go stare at a blank wall instead - you'd be much better off.

Underwhelming & a fully wasted opportunity
15 May 2022
For a movie titled 'Multiverse of madness' there was very little multiverse, and even less madness. I'm not sure why this tremendous opportunity to create something intriguing and exciting was reduced to something that felt like going to Disney land but seeing only a tiny part of a single ride - blindfolded for the rest. I'm guessing perhaps it was cost, but the movie definitely did not fill the brief laid down by that title. Sam Raimi's Spiderman films will always hold a special place but the oversaturated video and occasional feel-fuzzy dialogues seemed like a step down from the usual MCU style. But maybe that's just me. Even ignoring that however, this movie was lazy, unambitious, and extremely lack lustre. Probably the least enjoyable MCU film to date.

Terrible. Not a real matrix film.

It's hard to believe this was written by one of the Watchowskis. The original series was brilliant and intelligent. This one is ridiculous, poorly written, and almost mocks the original films.

This ain't it Jim

In terms of quality and preservation of the actual storyline, there hasn't been an actual sequel to Terminator 2. That movie was entertaining, shot well, written well, and thoughtfully ended. Although T3 was more like a weird low-budget side-film, it still was more faithful to the original storyline than salvation, genesis, and dark fate. The other films are pure garbage - written and filmed with more attention paid to trends and popularity than actual storywriting. It's a disappointment because the future talked about in Terminator 2 is absolutely fascinating, and fans everywhere have been robbed of something we've waited for a long time. Can't believe Dark Fate was fronted by James Cameron. It's nowehere near the quality of work delivered in Judgement Day.

Curb your game of thrones
1 August 2021
Great stuff building a story and then messing it up. This show started out great, good writing and unsurprisingly, the drag to stretch out seasons and bringing in revenue comes in. But investing so much time in developing a character and then killing them off before they can even find their footing in the show?? You know what? Game of thrones called and they want their tacky shock-value style back. Cheesy writing trumps good potential. Another great concept that's sure to end up in the trash because of stupid writers.

An intricate telling of a dull story
10 June 2021
The movie is a victim of its own approach. So much energy and thought spent on the sequence of events and the layers of how they occur that the plot itself seems to have been neglected. It's underwhelming, clichéd, and doesn't really justify the attention it demands from you with what it delivers in the end.

Space is meant for more
25 April 2021
This was a survival drama situation which just didn't keep up with the background of space. It was all drama and no sci-fi. I'm not a huge fan of human-emotion-centred sci-fi movies. That's ok for regular films that are pictured on land. This is space, there is opportunity for so much more! Especially with a cast like this, even the script wasn't good enough. The scenes were just adequate. Nothing exciting.

A great movie with an unfortunately rushed ending.
12 April 2021
First of all, even though I maintain the end seems a little bit rushed, it's only because the rest of it is so gripping that you feel like the ending didn't somehow do justice. Amazing camera work and acting by everyone, especially Fahad Faasil. This is quality, quality performance. It's almost there. Didn't quite make it with the ending. Could have been one of the best crime films ever.

A great start gets dampened by shoddy story telling towards the end.
13 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The movie begins with good character building, establishing each protagonist's personality and background, and quickly drawing you into the plot. This part of the film is done quite well for the most part and does a good job at keeping you intrigued. Sadly, that doesn't last. A particular scene comes to mind where there's noone keeping cover while loot is being put into bags; and it beggars belief that trained, seasoned ex-military would get that careless even in front of a huge tempting mound of cash. During all of this, an armed antagonist doesn't seem to want to do anything about the banging and shouting going on in his house, but then decides to come out of a panic room only when there's at least Affleck, Hunnam and Isaac right outside its door, obviously looking for him.

In addition, a momentary lapse in Affleck's othwerwise calm and practical character displaying greed could hint at struggles in his personal life that may have motivated him in that instance, however this trait surfaces repeatedly throughout the rest of the film, and is hardly objected to or acknowledged by the rest of the equally experienced soldiers, save for a few shakes of the head and a couple of disapproving comments. This and just overall messy screenplay for the remainder of this movie leaves you waiting for a redeeming moment that doesn't quite materialize. The acting was on point without exception, but it couldn't save an ending that just ends up feeling hollow.
