Lucifer: It Never Ends Well for the Chicken (2020)
Nice shots, very successful film-noir vibe but that's it.
The story is very boring, very cliché and not funny. Swapping the characters with the people in Lucifer's story is out of context and doesn't fit. Gender swappings done wrong, where characters force themselves to play the other gender with very bad, amateur cosplay makeups and clothes.
The only good part in the episode is Lucifer and Lilith. They may be the only characters that are themselves. You can skip this episode, if you don't want to miss an important event, just skip to the ending until it is not black and white anymore and it will be enough.
The Mist (2007)
"This" is a real horror movie
You know these high-budget lots of effected and scary sounded horror movies? These are like somebody hides behind the door and says "BOO!" when you showed up or somebody wears a scary Halloween costume with a scary makeup. No, that's not it.
This is a real horror movie adapted from the book of a horror genius Stephen King with all respect. This movie respects the influence Stephen King wanted to make, and until the end, it scares the hell out with only its story and realistic shots even if you see it in the morning.
Next, it welcomes you with gripping scene flows, and an astonishing ending, which makes a lot of sense.
The needs, feelings, egoism and psychology of humanity shows itself in every way, and even in this hard situation, thoughts of men separate one from other. Denying, religious, brave thoughts show themselves with all of their mistakes, and none of these thoughts are perfect or strictly mistake.
The decisions are not the one, which saves people's lives. It's coincidence and luck as in the real world.
This is a wonderful, realistic and very well adapted movie, which will not make you regret for any other ordinary horror movie, you will not forget it.
10/10 -> Excellent!
Supernatural: Family Remains (2009)
What the heck was that???
This three points is only because of how great these series are. The other seven, excuse me, but I could not give it.
First, there was a very long break till this episode, and after the great and curious ending of the 10th episode, after this long break, I were waiting a great episode.
So, come on! How can a 17 year look-a-like trapped girl could be this fast, skilled, and could transfer from the house to the bushes so quick? If that would be a ghost, the episode could be an ordinary Supernatural episode reminding the first season, and that would be nostalgic, or this girl could be slower but heinous and could use secret pathways to only kill the family people, and not seeing Sam and Dean. But no! This girl is a super powered trapped girl, and only ate 5 animals, as we see??? Hmm, the girl must go the mother and girl, but Dean must live an action, so what should we do? Oh, yes, let's make a trapped brother!!! I can only smile to that, a really fast, strong, and never mentioned and told pale skinned brother. Well, they all ate 5 animals, and trained Combat Skills, Swashbuckling and Stealth!
Oh, another thing. Surely if I move in a new farmhouse, when closet opens, someone throws a baseball to me, and when I see who throws the ball is a pale-skinned Samara looking girl, and I would have said: "Hello, don't be afraid!" and would have thought that "Hey, a Samara looking psycho girl, what a super playmate!" The worst episode of Supernatural at all, worse than the crap jungle monster episode and worse than a cliché horror movie. And unfortunately, this episode is in the very best season of these great series.
Elektra (2005)
Good as a film, but thinking the comic book, well...
If Elektra was a brand new character, and firstly introduced in this movie, that movie would take at least a 7, I guess. But this movie lacks a lot of storyline compared to the comic book and the fans are very much disappointed.
For me, the worst part of these lacks is in Typhoid Mary character. Still, I think she is the best character of this movie is still her; but compared to the original Typhoid Mary, this character is rubbish. The original Typhoid Mary does not look suffered all the time. Contrary, we can see her smiling cunningly and evil. And the original one is one of the best villains comic books had ever seen. In this movie, she is just a bad girl, that's all. A lame character of a lame movie.
The original Elektra is not a sad character. In this movie, Elektra's usual mood is sad. Elektra is a skilled, professional assassin. So, she must not be always sad. It is a very big disappointment.
The most exciting and active parts are the last scenes and ninja scenes, and they are crap. And the green dust also looks so lame.
But I admit, it had very good scenes. Most of all were the Typhoid Mary scenes. Meeting, the kissing, the snakes, the jealousy and all. The movie Typhoid is a very entertaining character, but of course not as good as the original.
I give it a six, and I am being generous, cause ignoring the comic book, it is an entertaining film, but including comic book, this movie cannot get near the fantastic comic series.
I Am Legend (2007)
Good influence and a good show of a legendary man, but...
But I gave it a "7". Why is that? It is really a good influence, and it really shows us a legendary man.
The reason I gave it a "7" is -3 points for visual effects. It could be a remarkable movie if visual effects would be more realistic. After I have seen the first mutant, I felt like I was watching a computer game. Even the new generation computer games have much more realistic graphics than those mutants.
It was a very beautiful starting that we see an alone man after a little information and a show of TV news. There is a man with his dog, and walking in a world became natural. It is a very good influence.
Making people curious is one of the most important things in a movie's screenplay. We feel that curiosity in first scenes of the movie. This is another good influence.
We see a very lonely man talking to mannequins. His loneliness gave him a need for people, and to satisfy this need, he makes mannequins and talks to them, even falls in love with them. This gives a very good influence of loneliness in movie.
We really see a legendary man, who gives everything for humanity to live. He is the one and only man working to fix this cure in the heart of these events, actually, we end watching this movie feeling a respect for a movie character.
Francis Lawrence directed an original post-apocalyptic movie; but the importance of post-apocalyptic movies, the reason people like these kind of movies is its closeness to the reality. "The Day after Tomorrow" was a very good example of this reality. We have seen very realistic effects and a very good reason for this apocalypse. In this movie, we see a very good reason, but very unrealistic visual effects.
In an action or fantasy movie, visual effects can be computer-like as "Constantine" directed by the same director was a very good movie. In this movie, demons were computer-like, it was good; but in that movie, it is a mistake to show computer-like creatures; because there is a very important difference: These creatures are mutated humans. Men cannot mutate to a computer-like creatures. It is very unreasonable.
Apart from unrealistic visual effects, this is a very good movie. Watching this movie as a very good movie is possible. Just ignore the visual effects, consider mutants as realistic, then you will see a very original post-apocalyptic movie, and you are going to meet a new hero, then you will not forget the movie.
Blood: The Last Vampire (2000)
An anime only about action not screenplay
It is a too short anime which has got an awful scenario. It is a short anime because they could not find anything longer. If you say: "I only want to see blood and action." Watch it. Otherwise, it will disappoint you. It is starting with a good scene, you think that the man has something. Than you understand nothing. Is it a vampire or not? The school kids are vampire. Our hunter shoots them and everywhere become bloody. Where do these bloods went? Or when vampire kills people in bloody ways, does nobody understand and why ate not they doing anything when they saw a school girl with a sword? It contains many illogical things.
