Searching for Wooden Watermelons (2003)
Terriffic feel good film!!
This is a great film with a great message. Several interesting characters bring this story to life. Jude, a young girl from the small Texas town of Beaumonunt dreams of writing sitcoms, after three separate graduations, she yurns to spread her wings an discover her full potential. These dreams and hindered by her Psychosamatic mother and grandma. Along with her friends. After her her boyfriend proposes, she must decide where she belongs.
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Truely insane!
This film is enough to make a person insane. I like it!! Aronofsky is a true artistic visionary. His use of sound and flashing images screws with your head, and with the performance of Ellen Burstyn. You can truely see and feel just what's going on in her drugged out mind. Well what do you know is that Wayan's kid trying to become respectable actor? I think so. This film is jam packed in intense emotion and can feel every bit of it as it screams of the screen.
The Mummy Returns (2001)
Special Effects needed to cover script flaws.
This movie like many others relies much to heavily on special effects. A little too much. When that happens something has to suffer, like the script. Although there were some good effects, some just seemed corny and stupid. Rachel Weisz is Hot.
Along Came a Spider (2001)
Along came more Hollywood Retread!
The only thing that made this movie watchable was the always reliable performance of the classic american actor Morgan Freeman. This films basic plot lines have been used more times than a french whore. Monica Potter is very wooden and borish in doing her best Julia Roberts impression. The film also falls into all to common hollywood cliches that held it down tremendously. If you have seen last springs "Reindeer Games", think of Monica Potter as Charlize Theron character.
