Rest Stop (2006)
Limited resume for a reason...
Wow... No wonder Jaimie Alexander has such a limited resume... Her acting ruined this movie for me, especially when it came time to start crying and/or whimpering which happens with far too much frequency in this flick... Maybe they should have given her body double a shot at the lead role instead...
Some of the gore was pretty impressive as others have said, and the premise is a decent one, just a shame the acting wasn't a tad better..
Hopefully future projects by this director will have him working with a more veteran cast..
A decent flick, but having your finger at the ready on the mute button is a must for some scenes as another user pointed out.
Vulgar (2000)
Painful..
I was warned before watching this movie not to expect the comedy style seen in previous View Askew movies. What I wasn't told was not to expect the same level of writing, acting, directing or camera work. This was a painfully inept movie to watch. Bad lighting, horrible dialogue, and just atrocious acting. The rape scene was more than a little disturbing and dragged on and on, much like the film as a whole. I would recommend this film only to people interested in never getting 90 minutes of their life back. It's no wonder the documentary "In Defense of Dogma" was included on the DVD. It's the only part worth viewing.
