Cold Hearts (1999)
Saved by the Bell in the Genre of "Horror"
I saw this film at Temple University. I cannot imaging that anyone will ever see this film in a theater (projected on film). The acting is similar to Saved By The Bell (The TV Show). The plot is simple and unimaginative. The sound recordist likes the sound of wind and the DP needs a light meter. Vampires, Vampires, Vampires.
Don't waste your money.
Dogma (1999)
One funny scene with lots of religious and non-religous filler
Kevin Smith was on the right track with Chasing Amy. I wasn't too fond of it, but at least it was somewhat honest. It showed how men want to control women and turn gay women straight.
But dogma is just bad. It's full of cameo angels, devils, and muses. Chris Rock seems almost unecessary. At times its tough to tell where the film is going, but predictability prevails.
Bad film using the crutch of stars.
No good.
The Last Broadcast (1998)
Like Blair Witch, but not funny nor scary.
Similar, but not as good as The Blair Witch Project. Rumor has it that the film makers are actually suing the folks at Blair Witch. I've seen both and neither really impressed me, but Blair had more convincing acting and was not edited like a student film.
