Screamers (1995)
Philip K. Dick messed up bad with "Hollywood Happy Ending"
I believe the original story that this film is based on is called "Second Variety", a great post-apocalyptic novel by Sci-fi meister Philip K. Dick. The film captures some of the terror from the original story, but director Christian Duguay and storywriter Dan OBannon fails to deliver the film that this had the potential to become. Philip K. Dick's stories adapted to film have previously been great successes, like "Blade Runner" and "Total Recall". So why Duguay and OBannon chose to rewrite the ending completely into one of the worst cases of "Hollywood Happy Ending" I've ever seen, and in doing so completely removing the the ENTIRE plot of the original story, leaves me a bit provoked.

De dødes tjern (1958)
Probably the best Norwegian movie ever.
For younger generations of Norwegian film enthusiasts, Andre Bjerkes "De dødes tjern" is held to be one of the best Norwegian films ever to be made. This film-noir is a "must see" for everybody with a liking for classic cinema!

Tierische Liebe (1996)
Disturbing "documentary" from Austrian suburbia.
This is a "documentary" about isolation and despair, as a consequence of modern urbanization. The film portrays a series of sad fates, people who, in lack of human social networks, grow attached to their animal companions.
The film itself is both grotesque and sad, but at the same time visually stunning. It is a "must see" for all people committed to social change, social workers, teachers and students. It is a "must see" for all film enthusiasts, but as this film is quite shocking, I will not recommend it for the average audience.
This film is forbidden in Norway per 1997.
