Am I the only one who likes this movie?
30 August 1999
This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in years. Sample lines such as: "We can't stop here, this is bat country" and "My lawyer understands this despite his racial handicap" and "With any luck his life was ruined by thoughts that in all his favorite bars just behind narrow doors, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks off doing things he'll never understand" are all hilarious! So many people seem to hate this movie. It's so funny. Johnny Depp will NEVER be the same!!!! Kawasaki!!!!!!

Pretty offensive and funny as............
30 August 1999
Sure the acting is horrible, and there's about ten or twelve incoherent unrelated plots and the special effects look like some four dollar and thirty five cent props bought from Murray's Party Supplies but this an essential low budget schock insanity movie. Random thoughts that will run through your head when watching it include: wow, somebody actually took the time and effort to write out a screenplay for this garbage? and I wonder how many times they had to re do this entire nutty scene before the "actors" stopped cracking up at it's sheer insanity. This is definitely a hidden gem, a true jewel if your lucky enough to live near a video store that has a copy of it. Rent it!!!!!!! 10 out of 10.

12 steps to recovery, eh.

The sad thing is that Canada is exactly like this movie, go there and go into The Beer Store, they really have conveyer belts. Other then that though this is the best drinking movie ever, and also manages to be completely and totally hilarious even when your the designated driver. max Von Sydow puts in his best performance since The Seventh Seal. Awesome

This is not a charade!!!!!!!!!!!!
30 August 1999
This is one of the five or ten funniest movies ever made! Within it's contents lies the best ever spoof of a movie. A Fistful Of Yen (the spoof to Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon) is scene for scene the best spoof of any one movie ever. And I'm no ding-a-ling. It is a spoof of extraordinary magnitude!!!!!!!!!!!!! And who can possibly forget Catholic High School Girls In Trouble? It's more offensive then Mandingo, stranger then Behind The Green Door, more erotic then Deep Throat. You will cream in your cheese when you see Catholic High School Girls In Trouble!!! Rent this movie with Bimbo Movie Bash for a night of big big laughs!!!!!!!!

I saw Super Ninjas years ago and it kicked butt. I especially loved the tree Ninjas and the Earth Ninjas that came out of the ground. They rule. The weapons were also cool. That other Doug guy should say where he got his copy. The best line in the movie is "Loss of a fight means loss of one's life to a samurai. Give it an action packed 10 out of 10.

The Godfather (1972)
A movie you can't refuse
9 March 1999
This is the #8 movie of all time. Classic scene after classic scene. Symphonic violence. Vengeance. Great characters. Characters that despite their violent nature you sympathize with them. You want to be Don Vito Corleone. There's not one flaw in this whole movie. You wish it was even longer. Seeing this as a child I wanted to grow up to be Luca Brasi. All elements of a man's movie can be linked here. Honor, Revenge, Violence, Separation of love and sex, loyalty, omerta, and family. There isn't a single second in this 170 minute movie that drags. There's great dialogue, great scenes, great characters, great acting. It's very difficult to choose among them. My only wish for this movie is that they had filmed more of Luca Brasi. He has plenty more explanation in the book. But all in all this is film making at its very very best. And it's just fun to watch.

Falling Down (1993)
A fat woman clip clopped into the shoe store.........
8 March 1999
We've all had them. We can't avoid them. Bad days. Really phenomonally horrible retched terribly bad days. I mean I actually get only $4.25 an hour for christ's sake. Oh well, forget my problems and dream of snapping like the proverbial Paul Kersey in Death Wish or better yet like D-FENS from Falling Down. This movie caters to the basic emotion of wanting to tell the whole world to kiss your ---!!!! Micheal Douglas puts in his greatest movie performance ever. Great scene after great scene. The gridlocked expressway, the Korean store, the gang banger Mexicans, the drive by, The whammy burger, the Nazi guy, the golf course, and the rich people. All great scenes all have great memorable lines. Anger and comedy hand in hand. You could take out a jumbo jet with one of these monkeys!!! Anyone who doesn't laugh at the Whammy burger scene the first time they see it is not human. This movie doesn't just rule. It goes beyond words. I list this as my 9th favorite of all time. Why? Because Michael Douglas puts in a performance that establishes him as one the all time movie bad asses. Now you're gonna die wearin' that stupid little hat. I really hate rich people. D-FENS goes on a mad shoot-anyone-in-the way rampage threw Los Angeles. And don't forget what happens when you're not ECONOMICALY VIABLE!!!

Ronin (1998)
DeNiro and his magic bazooka
1 March 1999
Robert DeNiro, a hand held bazooka, enough car crashes to be considered a Blues Brothers sequel, a hot Irish chick, tons of car chase scenes and stunts, mass destruction of the hated country of France, the Lexus guy playing a mick named Shaemus, a plot even the characters can't figure out, Jean Reno, gun play aplenty and finally a figure skater is killed in mid-spin. Yes this movie is as entertaining as it sounds

Best movie of 1998
1 March 1999
Powerful portrayal of Neo-Nazi movement in America. Told in series of flashbacks. Flawless acting by Edward Norton. Does its best to make the point that no one is ever right aand no one is ever wrong. I have a friend who was a Nazi and a racist. But upon walking out of the theater after this movie he hung his head in shame. This is why the film industry began.

Jack Frost (1997 Video)
Big hit or big miss? you decide.
1 March 1999
This movie is either pure genius or a failure of epic proportions. If the writers and the director were aiming for a scary movie they missed the mark by a couple million miles. However if they were aiming to make a hilarious movie - especially hilarious while baked, they succeeded. This has to be one of the funniest movies of the 90's. Watch it with a best friend

Airplane! (1980)
#5 of all time, best comedy ever, pure genius
1 March 1999
That's right - genius just like the Three Stooges. This is the funniest movie

ever. If you watch it 10 times it is still just as funny as the first time. This movie has by far the highest replay value of any comedy ever. Extreme pants wetting subversion... and stop calling me Shirley!!!!

Taxi Driver (1976)
#2 on my greatest of all time
1 March 1999
A movie inspired by one murderer and inspired another to murder. Only in America. Scorsece, and DeNiro in their greatest triumph. A power house of a movie about how an ordinary person who becomes a lonely ticking time bomb among an urban catharsis. A man who would not take it anymore. A way we all feel sometimes. The grand finale of Travis' eruption into a Roman orgy of blood letting is not to be missed. Read Roger Ebert's review for further insight into the movie's ending. True Genius! True Force! You talkin' to me?

Bruce Lee at his best
1 March 1999
You can have your Jackie Chans, Steven Seagals, VanDamme's, Chuck Norris's and aanyone else. Bruce Lee is hands down the greatest ever. And Here he is in his best movie. Why this never recieved awards is beyond all possible comprehension. Watch carefully for Jackie Chan and Bolo Yueng. If there's one film you have left to rent before you die and you haven't seen this....well...you know what to do. Watch the master feel the flow.

#4 on my top 100 list
1 March 1999
The greatest western without question is Sam Peckinpaugh's tale of aging manly men caught in between two clashing and very different worlds. One world is a live by the gun die by the gun code of honor west. The other world contains the horrors of modern technology. Cars, airplane, bombs, machine guns. This movie may have the highest body count of any movie ever. Screen violence was practically invented in this movie. Squib technology would go on to The Godfather,Taxi Driver, and ever other movie since. But more than violence it's about conflicting and changing morals in a conflicting and changing world. And it's about honor.
