Bongwater (1998)
Great
One of my favorite movies for some reason. Maybe it is Alicia Witt, who is hot to me or maybe it is the smoke. Who knows. I especially liked the hiking trip. I also thought Andy Dick was very good in his role. I have always thought Luke Wilson was much better than Owen. I also though Jack Black was very good in his role. Brittany Murphy got on my nerves a little. But the little theme they hum on the hike does get in your head. Jeremy Sisto was also good. It was a major laugh to watch this and then see him star as Jesus. That just didn't seem right to me. but I found it quiet funny in that Counter Culture sort of way. Jamie Kennedy was also very funny in his role for this movie. Not up there with his portrayal of of a white rapper, but a pretty good attempt at an insane rock star.
The Boondock Saints (1999)
Second favorite
My favorite movie of all time is Reservoir Dogs. This movies just slipped into a close second. I had walked past this movie a couple of times while in the video stores. Well finally I picked it up cause a friend suggested it. Well I am glad I listened to him. I have already watched it three times in one day. It is rare I do that. Dogs, The Killer, Hard Boiled, Better Tomorrow are pretty much the only movies I have done that with.
The one big plot twist at the end caught me by surprise and that doesn't happen often, hey I figured out Sixth Sense mid way through.
I really liked the way Defoe's character played out the scene's especially the one at the house where he is shown side by side with the boys.
I recommend anyone who likes John Woo or Quentin Tarrantino pick this movie up. I am on my way to buy it now.
Homicide: The Movie (2000)
Good movie
For anyone who liked the series this movie will be something to watch. However, it also leaves you wanting more. I loved the way that every character (detective)made an appearance. Least with the ending of who is the fourth chair for they leave a reason for another movie. My guess is Bayless of course. This like the series was a very well put together series of scenes. This is a series I wish had lived on. Thanks to the cast for some wonderful TV.
Illtown (1996)
Good Acting
I felt this was a movie that was well acted. The story was very good. Until you have been in that element you do not realize how true that story can be. The story about Trese's character's wife is great. Tony Danza was also good.
