Having grown up in a religious family, Christian movie night was something that happened a lot more often than I care to admit. However, back when I was a teenager, my parents showed up one night with an unusually cool-looking DVD of a movie that had been recommended to them by a church leader. Curious to see what new kind of evangelical propaganda my parents had rented this time, I proceeded to watch the film with them expecting a heavy-handed snoozefest.
To my surprise, I was a few minutes in when Denzel Washington proceeded to dismember a band of cannibal raiders when I realized that this was in fact a real movie. My mom was horrified by the flick’s extreme violence and dark subject matter, but I instantly became a fan of the Hughes Brothers’ faith-based 2010 thriller, The Book of Eli. And with the film’s atomic apocalypse having...

James Spader has been in the film industry for quite some time now. And while he has made a name for himself for mostly portraying eccentric characters, it is his role in The Blacklist that fans best know him for. An incredibly talented actor, his run with the American crime thriller ended last year with the show’s tenth and final season.

Now over $30 million rich, the actor once revealed why he chose to star in The Blacklist. While some might say the series was interesting enough for any actor to take on the role, Spader’s decision might have been influenced by his financial spending.

Actor Sanjay Nath, who is a part of ‘Raisinghani vs Raisinghani’ shared that initially, when he was offered the role, he was unsure about it as he has not done a show with this format for the past 10 years.
He revealed that despite the project’s unconventional nature, he saw its great potential and decided to take on the challenge.
Sanjay steps into the shoes of Rajdeep Raisinghani, a self-made man and one of the top criminal lawyers. Rajdeep is known for his fierce demeanor and relentless pursuit of victory as a lawyer. Ruthless and shrewd in his approach, Rajdeep is sharp and strong-willed.
Talking about the same, Sanjay said: “When they initially offered me this role, I was unsure because I haven’t done a show with this format for the past 10 years. It’s not that I didn’t have offers, but committing to an infinite series requires a lot of time,...

It’s a weird month on Netflix in February; one that will probably require you to be open-minded about the shows and movies you’re willing to consume on the service.
There are quite a few library TV series arriving this month, for example. If you’re ready to start binge-watching Monk, My Wife and Kids, or acclaimed show Warrior, you’re in luck, as those complete seasons will be available. The Blacklist season 10, Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12, Brooklyn Nine-Nine seasons 1-4, and Young Sheldon season 6 will also be hitting the ‘Flix.
In terms of what’s new, there’s a ton of foreign language content and true crime stuff, but original English language stuff will largely be unscripted fare like Love is Blind, which is back for a new season. There are a few bits and bobs on the way outside of that, though. Netflix’s animated movie Orion and the Dark will debut,...

Once upon a time, The Blacklist was one of the hottest shows on television. Since its premiere, it was a winner thanks to an ingenious premise, characters, and a format that worked.
For ten seasons, the show soldiered on with viewers tuning in each week, and once streaming became a thing, the show was added to several streamers worldwide.
But looking at the numbers from the first season to the final season, there was such a massive drop in viewership, whether in live ratings or streaming, that it begs the question of why viewers jumped ship.
For context, the first season averaged 10 million live viewers, and the final season went slightly above 1 million. That’s a ninety percent decrease.
The question morphed into why the show lost steam, and in this article, we dive into distinct creative decisions that watered it down to unwatchable levels.

I.S.S. trailer ramps up the paranoia and tension in the isolation of space amid a global devastation
Space is a scary enough place. Imagine being in space and witnessing a devastation taking place on Earth. That’s the start of the premise of the new sci-fi thriller, I.S.S., from Bleecker Street. Bloody Disgusting has just unveiled the new trailer online. The titular initials stand for the International Space Station and is the prime setting for this film. The mood starts friendly enough and showcases the crew of both American and Russian missions living in the structure in perfect harmony. Unbeknownst to them, hell is about to break loose on the planet below. As both crew teams witness vast explosions taking place on the surface of Earth, confusion, sadness, desperation and anger overcome the crew, and as they each receive extreme orders from their governments, the peace within the station dissipates.
The synopsis reads,
“Tensions flare in the near future aboard the International Space Station as...

The Blacklist has barely been off the air, but it feels like a long time ago. Maybe it's because the series finale was somewhat disappointing.
The Backlist Season 10 was atypical since it had much to do, including setting up an excellent end to the series.
A lot happened, including Wujing's return, the shutting down of Red's empire, the threats against the task force, and, of course, that ambiguous ending.
In our season report card, we will review the season by looking at the best episode, returning blacklisters, new blacklisters, biggest shocker, worst storyline, and more.
We will also grade the season, so let us know whether you agree with our grade.

In the latest TV ratings, ABC’s Generation Gap led a very quiet Thursday in the demo, while a Young Sheldon rerun copped the night’s largest audience.
NBC | The Blacklist wrapped its 10-season run with a double-header that opened the night with 2.7 million total viewers (its farewell run’s second-largest audience) and a typical 0.2 demo rating. The second hour did 2.5 mil (the season’s third-laregst audience) and another 0.2.

After 10 years, dozens of captured criminals and more Raymond Reddington monologues than one could count, The Blacklist has come to an end at NBC.
The long-running crime drama wrapped up with a two-hour series finale on Thursday, which found Red running from the very FBI agents he’d worked alongside for the past decade. But did Red manage to evade authorities once again? (The short answer: Yes… by dying!) And what became of the Task Force when this final case was over? (The short answer: It’s done? We guess?) Read on for the details.

Secrets and omissions kept The Blacklist entertaining, especially regarding Raymond Reddington.
The pursuit to uncover some of those secrets had grave and far-reaching consequences for many characters. Reddington has worked so hard to ensure that some of his dearest secrets were never discovered, but even when they'd be exposed, another would occupy the place.
As the show approaches the end and with The Blacklist Season 10 on its last breath, some lingering questions need to be answered to make an excellent end to this decade-long saga.
How'd They Get Around So Fast?
This has always been a personal nitpick because sometimes it was unbelievable. While Raymond could boast that he had a jet that would take him anywhere, the Task Force relied on government-issued SUVs.
Something could happen in one state, and the team would drive from DC to that state in record time. For example, on The Blacklist Season 10 Episode...

As the adage says, everything with a beginning must also have an end. And the end is here for The Blacklist.
The Blacklist Season 10 spent most of its time setting up Raymond's exit as he, as carefully as ever, used the Task Force to end his decades-spanning enterprise consisting of shipping and intelligence networks.
He also gave up some of his most prized possessions to people who found great value in them and finally rewarded some of his most loyal people on The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 20.
In the same episode, the fate of the Task Force and Raymond Reddington was revealed.
Congressman Hudson knew where to squeeze, and it hurt the most when he did.
Things finally settled with The Attorney General giving Harold and his people an ultimatum in which the choices were unfavorable. They must capture Raymond Reddington, or he will prosecute them.
It was a threat the...

It was how this was always going to end.
The Raymond Reddington task force was now not what it was when it was started long ago on The Blacklist Season 1.
They were a group of people with almost nothing in common chosen to pursue a common goal in one of the opaquest operations ever.
They had grown, evolved, made mistakes, learned, and formed bonds throughout the years.
Yet, if one was to compare and contrast the Task Force from ten years ago and how it is currently, one would notice that these people had changed. This change displeased Arthur Hudson, and he pursued it with everything he had.
It is my finding that task force 836 has reached a point where they are no longer working with Raymond Reddington but for Raymond Reddington. I truly believe you don't know which way is up anymore.

The Blacklist — Pictured: Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper — (Photo by: Will Hart/NBC) Harry Lennix is one of the few cast members of The Blacklist to have been a series regular from the very start, along with James Spader and Diego Klattenhoff. Now that the show has wrapped — it will end with a two-hour series finale next week — it’s been a big change for Lennix. After all, prior to The Blacklist his longest-running job had been the two-season, 26-episode run of Dollhouse. But The Blacklist, of course, has run for 10 seasons and ultimately produced 218 episodes. And that longevity, Lennix told us, plays a big part in why he will miss this show differently than any other job he’s had. This was a bag of mixed emotions.
First, there were the absolutely exhilarating events that had someone at the edge of their seat as another one of Red's plans came to focus.
Then that feeling was muddled with sadness at the thought that this signals the beginning of the end.
Rarely does an episode invoke multiple feelings since the Elizabeth Keen days, and The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 19 was like a trip to a past you thought you might never experience again.
It was high energy and camp.
From the opening scene when Raymond called everyone to the Post Office to his carefully curated diction in pointing the Task Force in the right direction until he put the hat on and walked out majestically, it promised a great time.
There was a remarkable similarity between this episode and Morgan Logistics Corporation.
The main thing was that they were Raymond's attempt at shutting down his empire.

"This is an old house... there's bound to be bumps in the night." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a horror movie called Cobweb, dropping right in the middle of the summer in late July. They're hoping this will be another big horror hit in the summer box office. Not to be confused with the new Korean film by Kim Jee-woon also titled Cobweb, which recently premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. They're two very different projects. The Blacklist screenplay for this horror is about an 8-year-old boy, Peter, who is plagued by a mysterious, constant tapping from inside his bedroom wall — noises which his parents insist are all in his imagination. The kid is played by Woody Norman, who also starred in C'mon C'mon. Lizzy Caplan & Antony Starr plays his parents, with a cast also including Cleopatra Coleman. This gets super freaky in the last few seconds of the trailer,...

While the Cold War has long been over a second one brews between the USA and Russia inside “I.S.S.,” Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s frustratingly broad yet stylish space thriller that just premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Considering the growing political tensions between the two countries today, this is a movie one might be tempted to adorn with adjectives such as “timely” and “urgent.” Except “I.S.S.”—a title inexplicably fashioned with three periods—is too generic a genre exercise to matter, one that vaguely orbits notions such as trust, selflessness, teamwork and the hazards of blind nationalism with the most simplistic messages to transmit about them.
Working from a Blacklist script by debuting screenwriter Nick Shafir, Cowperthwaite’s pressure-cooker outing is set sometime in the near future, introducing us via an efficient title card to the brief history of the International Space Station (Iss), founded decades ago...

After a few disappointing successive episodes, The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 17 broke away from that format and delivered an hour worth of The Blacklist name.
Raymond offered a case that was a significant upgrade from the one the Task Force had previously worked on.
Elsewhere, Arthur Hudson used his cunning to find the scarce information about the Task Force, and with solid skills of bluffing and making great inferences from observations, he hit the nail on the head.
The Task Force had needed a win many episodes ago, and their win was bigger than they could have anticipated.
This had been the case they had been waiting for, and on getting the basic details, they were enthusiastic about getting started.
The more they unraveled one mystery, two more would rise to take its place.
They had lacked that in the cases they worked on in The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 15 and The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 16.
Like always,...

The broadcast day and time change give us two servings of The Blacklist in one night.
By now, everyone is aware that The Blacklist Season 10 will be airing at a new time and day.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 14 wrapped up Siya's storyline when her search for truth brought her square with her mother's past and what Meera had to do to keep her safe.
Spoilers for The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 15 and The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 16 tease trouble for the Task Force as Congressman Hudson launches his campaign against them.
There have been fewer Blacklist cases for the past few episodes, but that is bound to change as Raymond keeps his promise to Cooper and offers not one but four Blacklisters.
The deal with the Task Force was that they would keep operating in the shadows as long as they delivered results. And for the most part, they have.

Finally, there was a case resembling one from the Blacklist, and it was good.
Raymond continued his amends tour with Siya in tow on The Blacklist Season 10, Episode 14. Elsewhere, the team worked on a peculiar case involving brides and disappearing husbands.
The Congressman Hudson threat took a backseat at this hour, giving other storylines a chance to develop. That was a good decision because Hudson has been all bite and no bark. It was starting to get boring.
It became clear that Raymond was on an unburdening mission on The Blacklist Season 10, Episode 13, when he sold all his valuable items at a throwaway price. The next logical step was finding people in his life who meant something, and he had amends to make with them.
There were not many left, so the list was pretty thin.

Before The Blacklist wraps its impressive 10-season run on NBC, it will move to a new night and time.
NBC announced Thursday that the low-rated drama would leave its Sundays at 10 p.m. slot behind, effective immediately.
Beginning June 1, the James Spader-led procedural will air on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
A special episode will air that night at 9 p.m. to celebrate the big move, before the show settles into its 8 p.m. slot for the rest of the season.
What's more, NBC has confirmed a two-hour series finale is set for July 13 from 8-10 p.m.
It's hard to believe the show is ending because it's been around for so long, but seeing how the show ends will be fun.
Plenty of moments in the show's history should have served as a swan song, but now, we'll see how this all ends later in the summer.

Settle in because Blacklisters are not coming as fast as we'd like.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 12 filled that gap by letting us in on how Dembe met Isabella and what his dedication to Raymond cost him over the years.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 13 also tried to fill that gap by revisiting Meera's past, showing a decision she made that cost a man his life.
Spoilers for The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 14 tease a slight deviation from the current pattern of revisiting the past as the Task Force investigates a certain missing person while Siya digs into her mother's past.
Even though it shouldn't have, discovering that Meera was not her biological mother upset Siya's worldview to a great extent.
In her books, that was something major for someone to hide. What else could she be hiding if she could hide something that big?
But sometimes, omission is necessary, especially to protect someone.

Yes, Raymond. Are you okay?
It was another hour of events on The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 13 as we learned something about Meera's past while Raymond acted like he'd lost his mind.
This was also the second episode in a row where there was no Blacklist case, and the Task Force's operation was predicated on a constant supply of very bad players in the criminal and human world.
In D.C, Congressman Hudson found an ally who would give him a direct ticket into a committee, kickstarting his investigation into the Task Force.
No task force should be operating with seemingly zero checks and balances.

While looking for the truth, following the money will always lead you to it.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 12 introduced the latest threat to the Task Force when an ambitious Congressman asked questions about what the money the Task Force spends is for.
Elsewhere, Dembe's ex called asking for a favor, and following the money, Dembe was able to save an innocent man from being executed.
The new threat to the Task Force and Reddington was not to be taken easily.
Congressman Hudson was motivated by political interests and had a proven track record of exposing unscrupulous government spending, especially when corruption is involved.
What set him apart was that he had little to lose and much to gain.
He was like a shark to blood; once he smelled a little of it, he couldn't focus on anything else.

And the crusade continues.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 11 appeared like it would make some headway in resolving the show's biggest conflict but didn't make substantial strides towards that.
After appearing to champion the campaign against Raymond and the Task Force, Panabaker ultimately decided to let sleeping dogs lie.
We might never know whether that was because she felt like she owed Raymond something or because she was afraid of him, but that's irrelevant now.
Spoilers for The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 12 tease a Dembe-centric episode as someone from his past calls him, and he reflects on his past.
Dembe was never really the show's focus, and that much was clear.
But after the death or departure of multiple main characters, he became the next interesting thing, and the writers found a way to keep him around even when he wasn't associated with Red.
Not much is known about his history apart...

The numbers on the broadcast networks are continuing to diminish, leaving us with questions about how long the outlets will be able to rely on the ad business.
Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 9 continued with 3.1 million viewers and a 0.2 rating in the demo, placing 4th in the timeslot.
The Blacklist was also on the downside, dipping to 1.7 million viewers and just a 0.1 rating.
NBC would have been wise to air both shows on Fridays instead of Sundays.

The Company You Keep inched up amongst total viewers to 2.3 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

Wujing's efforts to find allies have been a hit or miss but mostly a hit.
He employed the gifts of The Freelancer on The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 7 to try and find a provable connection between the task force and Raymond.
His hunt for potential allies has become a well-planned and calculated affair, going after the ones whom Raymond has hurt the most.
Typically, Raymond would offer up his enemies to the government to get them off the map, but when in a bind, he would sacrifice his allies too. And no one had a bigger cause to hate him for that than The Troll Farmer.
Spoilers for The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 8 tease his return as he seeks to help Wujing create chaos and get away with something.

The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 6
The first time Dr. Laken Perillos (Laverne Cox) attempted to break Dembe Zuma’s (Hisham Tawfiq) body and spirit on The Blacklist season 8 episode 10, her opportunity was cut short when Dembe busted out the arm of the chair that he was strapped to and escaped. Raymond Reddington (James Spader) gave himself up in exchange for Dembe’s freedom just before Dembe managed to flee Dr. Laken Perillos, her Heretic’s Fork and toxic jellyfish juice. Dr. Perillos took a turn torturing Red as well but was interrupted and strapped to the table herself when Dembe found the new location and rescued Red. Dembe and Red made a big mistake by letting Dr. Perillos be taken into custody by the FBI because Dr. Laken Perillos lives and hasn’t forgotten the only two men she couldn’t break.

After weeks of dropping, Magnum P.I. showed some signs of life Sunday night on NBC.
Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 8 had 3.5 million viewers and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, rising quite a bit among total viewers and a tenth in the demo.
If the series can rise another bit, it would be a slam dunk for renewal, but with the show going off the air until the fall soon, there's a chance it could lose some steam.
The Blacklist followed with 2 million viewers and a 0.2 rating as the final episodes continued.
American Idol was stable in the demo on ABC but down among total viewers.
The aging reality series had 4.8 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.
The Company You Keep, which is on the bubble for renewal or cancellation, had 2.2 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.
CBS aired the CMT Music Awards (5.4 million/0.6 rating), which increased in total viewers year-to-year.

In the latest TV ratings, CBS’ 60 Minutes slipped yet still clocked in with Sunday’s biggest audience, while ABC’s American Idol was tops in the demo.
CBS | 60 Minutes drew 6.7 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating, marking its second-smallest audience of the season and a demo low, but on par (at least in total viewers) with recent airings that didn’t enjoy a sports lead-in. Leading out of that, the CMT Music Awards (5.4 mil/0.6) were up in audience (to an all-time high) and steady in the demo vs. last year’s inaugural CBS telecast. Final ratings for the awards show,...
