The AI, Leonard, says that since leaving Earth they've traveled 2.48 trillion kilometers, but one light year is 9.46 trillion kilometers, so they'd only moved 0.26 light years, and the nearest star to us is about 4.39 light years away (~41 trillion km), meaning they'd have been about 1/3 of the way through the Solar system's Oort Cloud (0.05 - 0.8 light years from the sun) and at that distance the nearest star (still our Sun) would just be another star in the blackness of space.
Right after Andy rips his suit trying to exit his escape pod, L.E.O.N.A.R.D. announces that the atmosphere is only 2% oxygen, 97% CO2 and 1% nitrogen, yet a lot of wreckage is seen burning, which would have been impossible in the almost total absence of oxen.
