Who is the target audience for this? Kids? Teens? It cannot be adults. The writing is elementary and the ending is predictable. I watched for Gina Torres, who appears briefly and is the only one who can act, but at least the siblings are likeable. I watched it via DUST's Sci-fi short film collection, but this is not Sci-fi. There's some magic and Gina Torres looks futuristic and that's it. The ending hits you over the head with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer - the "monster" upstairs is the Mother who is an abusive alcoholic. Get it: Alcoholism is a demon within. With a simple "I love you", her Daughter dispels the demon within and her Mom loses her "monster" exterior, returns to her human form and enters rehab. The end.

A splendid stoy of love and sacrifice of a girl for her mother. The effort to save her, using the lessons from a popular TV series reminds old fairy tales and admirable feelings. So, a short film to remind old , small , essential truths.
