It gave me chills

Had the chance to see this film in Hannover, Germany at the Up-and-coming film festival in 2019. Being born in Germany, it reminded me a lot of my childhood. Loved the script, the set (which is so well thought out) and the characters' performance. Makes you think about the meaning of life, the decisions you make and how you treat others. I've seen so many films based on the fall of communism, but centering this one on a 10 year old is definitely something new. Even so, I noticed some people didn't get the idea right: it's not actually a film about communism , it's about empathy, the love for the close ones and courage.

A Mess

Though, an interesting performance from Iulia Verdes, there is nothing here that has not been seen before. Despair is not original, handheld is not art. This writer needed someone to re-write this script. And needed someone else to direct. At each moment, a choice could have been made and, inevitably, the wrong path was taken. Andrei F. has an interesting idea. The problem is he made a film about it. Pity.
