Yorick is supposed to be less than likeable
I have seen a couple of reviews berating the character of Yorick, but they are missing the point (which was also true of some early reviews of the source material). Unlike many other graphic novels or TV series, the central character* is not a saviour, reluctant or otherwise, and he is not going to immediately pick up the gauntlet. This just makes the premise more interesting - what if the whole human race was doomed to extinction, and the only instrument of avoiding that outcome was a selfish loser?
* I use the phrase "central character" loosely - Yorick is clearly central to the plot, but at this stage he is more of a plot device and the momentum of the story is primarily driven by the other characters around him.

Interesting Constitutional and ethical issues
"They elected my father. They elected us {our political party}. We deserve a seat at the table." Both points have zero value in the Constitutional line of succession to the office of the President. The line of succession is by officeholder, not party affiliation or parental lineage.
Very interesting: when Regina Oliver regains consciousness and President Brown decides to "do something" about her. Also interesting that the President agrees to silence the chopper pilots. Corruption of an idealist?
335 is ice cold and very, very smart, and I am wondering is she's really one of the good guys. Corrupted by a power higher than public service?
Maybe this series is really about political back room deals and corruption of idealistic people.

Irritating Obnoxious Main Character
Yorick has to be one of the most irritating obnoxious characters ever put into a tv series. Selfish and with little to no good in him. I give the actor playing him credit for being a good actor. This show does have a great cast of characters especially Agent 355. Hopefully the Yorick character will grow a pair sometime in this series.

Get over it already
I'm only 3 episodes in and I want to smack the Hell out of Yorick every time he whines about want to find Beth. Seriously, you could literally have any and every girl on Earth, and you want the bit...ska.....slu...ho...one that would rather be doing every guy in Australia, (although good luck with that now), instead of being with you. Grow a pair already. (of course, that's probably how you survived, whiney little girl).
