A cleaner starts lecturing and messing about with a Student.
Carl, a cleaner at a College, spots that a class are missing a Lecturer, and steps in. It's a charming little story, but it is so far fetched that it beggars belief. Did nobody question his credentials, what happened to the Lecturer that was off sick, was no official replacement sent? I'm being unkind, it's television, what worked for me was the humour, Carl was likeable enough, Shobna Gulati was lots of fun as his boss.
The greatest problem for this one was the inevitability about every plot line, you just knew he was going to get caught, you just knew he was going to move out from his slob of a housemate, and you obviously knew he was going to end up at a University, studying to become a lecturer.
It was pleasing enough to watch, perhaps it expects you to suspend reality for too long. 6/10

Carl is a cleaner at a college. He does not find cleaning to be an invigorating job, he is more fond of slacking.
Carl lives in a flat Rob, an old school friend. It obvious that Carl did not push himself at school.
One evening Carl is mistaken as a lecturer at a study group. He was meant to be cleaning it. Carl goes along with the pretence and manages to blag his way through the lesson.
Carl enjoys pretending to be a lecturer. It gives him a new outlook in life and unleashes his own zest for learning. He also finds romance with a student.
As a daytime drama for the Moving strand. It has to tell its story quickly. It was a bit slow at times and also predictable.
It is only a matter of time before Carl is exposed. Also where was the real lecturer all this time?
