The end is nigh
Some viewers may consider this one a filler episode, but that would be the farthest from the truth, There isn't much action, but it paved the way to the inevitable catharsis of this first season.
Courtney and her friends are dealing with the death of Henry, for which everyone blames themselves except the actual murderer, and if that was not enough, a revelation comes upon Courtney that may put in jeopardy her belief on the legacy she trusted herself upon.
Another thing worth mentioning is that we get to see the limits of the depravity of the ISA, and though it has been clear they needed to be stopped from the beginning, the stakes have been raised higher.
It almost felt like the montage before a great battle, but it is clear the end is nigh.

The calm before the storm.
The penultimate episode brings fantastic character development and superb drama
This is technically the penultimate episode of the first season of Stargirl that have mostly been great and it shows in the world building, directing and overall writing. The acting have so far been great and believable.
This episode is titled Shining Knight and it's called that for a reason, will Justin the Janitor remember who he really are? The episode has us see the aftermath of last episode and a lot happened. We also get to see one storyline from the comics and it's a huge arc for Courtney, a guy called Sam comes and tells her that he is her father. Is he? Geoff Johns wrote it perfectly as he probably did in the comics. On the villain side we get more Brainwave and Icicle, and more or their big plan called Project New America.
This episode is a character driven one so no action, that can be bad for some viewers but this has some great character development and storytelling for Courtney and Pat, brilliantly played by the two actors. You can really feel their emotions, Brec Bassinger completely killed it.
This was quality drama and something that we needed. It deserves a better rating but I get it, it was really slow paced with lots of dialogue. No action. But why do I think it deserves a 9/10? It's because it has a lot of heart, Geoff Johns understands the characters and knows that the episode that sets up the season finale would only hurt from having forced fight sequences and what he wrote and director managed to do was incredible.

One hell of a ride!
Beth still useless
Good side history, I like the grow character of Court but the rest of team is forgettable.
I hope than ISA wins

Needed for plot development.
This was obviously an episode that was needed for plot progression and to wrap up storylines...still didn't make it any easier to watch. The only thing I'm taking from this episode as a positive is that it seems like they are saving up fight scenes. This episode had NO action scenes. Not one at all, but that makes me hopeful for these last two episodes. They've probably been saving their budget to make sure that they can go all out and are absolutely game changing. I can't wait to see what they give us.

Easily the worst episode so far.
Bad writing, mediocre acting and weak direction make this the slowest and most boring episode so far. While most episodes of SG are a worthy 8ish, this one hovers at a lowly 4.5 for me. I Hope they get back to their normal above par performances.

Struggling to make it down the stretch
The formula is starting to set in.
This show started off pretty good.Despite an somewhat unlikeable lead character there were some good moments but now with this episode we get that standard formula that has pretty much ruined The Flash which isn't surprising since the same people who ruined/run that show also run this show which means we're going to get episodes like this one where the hero or heroine gets plagued by doubts and has to constantly get uplifting pep talks from the team and those around them telling them they can do it and then miraculously they get their confidence back and defeat the baddie for that episode until the next time they get doubts and need a pep talk. Also everyone except for that ONE person will know their secret identity thus making the concept moot.I had really hoped this show wold be different from the rest but now it seems the formula that plague all these shows is starting to set in.
Nope still a pile of teen drama codswallop
The only plus for this episode is exactly the same as all the episodes before, Luke Wilson, apart from Neil Jackson Wilson is by far the standout actor in this show with the rest of the cast being pretty much amateurish at best.
The storyline/plot is almost comatose, lacklustre writing goes hand in hand with lack of imagination, action scenes laced with cgi are merely pointless eyecandy with little to zero interaction between characters in costume or civilian clothes, endless moping & squabbling of the so called heroes makes for repetitive & boring viewing, clear indication the writers of this show have no idea how to handle this genre & so chose the safe option of teen drama,11 episodes & still no one has been saved or rescued no crime has been thwarted & no her has emerged.
"Stargirl" a cosplay comedy at best.
