- TriviaCameron Gellman (Hourman) had to pull apart metal bars during a scene with the JSA. He kept struggling with it and couldn't pull the bars apart despite having trained for it. The crew told him to "put his back into it" but he still wasn't able to bend them. The crew decided to try and when they failed, they realized they forgot to put the hydraulics at the top of the bars, so Cameron was trying to bend real metal poles.
- GoofsThe waitress says that she only has one banana, but the banana split Pat and Barbara eat has two bananas.
- Quotes
Henry King Jr.: Dad, listen to me. I know what these powers did to you: How they warped what you believe in. But people aren't monsters. I don't want to fight you. I love you.
Brainwave: And I love you. Let me train you. The power, Henry, you have no idea.
Henry King Jr.: No, you're better than this. Mom knew you could be good. She believed in you. I know you loved her, and I know Jordan killed her because she saw the good in you too.
Brainwave: Junior, Jordan didn't kill your mother. I did.
Henry King Jr.: You?
Brainwave: I had to make a choice. Don't make me choose again son. Stand by my side or not at all.
Henry King Jr.: I will never stand by your side.
Brainwave: Good-bye, son.
- ConnectionsReferences Royal Wedding (1951)
The acting was phenomenal in this episode, in my opinion Jake Austin Walker had the best performance, but there were many who did believable and great performances. There were also some great stunt work and fight choreography in this episode that mixed fighting with CGI and it was some of its best visual and special effects. The makeup department should also get some praise for their work on some of the characters.
The Easter egg in the opening sequence was awesome, "Strange Adventures" Tom King is writing the latest comic book run on that, a comic that first got published in the 50's.
