Typically good
As opposed to today, you NEVER heard a singer on the Lawrence Welk show sing off key .... or "pitchy" as you hear on the music contest shows of recent years.
However, there were always great musical numbers, too. Here we havd instrumental versions of "Young At Heart", "Ol' Man River" and "Just A Closer Walk with Thee", with a clarinet feature by Henry Cuesta.
Not everything on this show is what you'd consider mainline Sinatra, but that doesn't matter. The show always deliver both vintage and pop musis with great arrangements and great singing.
Ken Delo's number was particularly satisfying, and of course one of the great weekly dances from Bobby and Sissy.
