On the Adriatic coast there are 1.185 islands but only 120 are inhabited: we meet Sebastian Jagic who has boat and sells fruits, vegetables and bread to the boaters in the Kornati area: then we meet Ivana Medic, the school teacher of the Pasman island (when the weather is good she goes to the seaside for the teaching), in the same island we meet Krsto and Anna Matuluc who grow olive trees and vegetables, besides Anna produces and sell cosmetics and soaps with natural herbs.
Then I enjoyed the visit of the Archipelago of Brijuni: Pjerina Maskovic and Anita Moscardo visit the place where they have worked as housekeepers for the Marshal Tito who came to Brijuni in 1947 and installed there his summer residence. We see also the national park : Sanja Filipovic takes care of the animals and shows to the visitor the elephant Lanka, gift from Indira Gandhi to Tito.
Then there is the travel through Istria: a land of medieval villages, olive trees and vineyards. In the small village of Paladini (45 inhabitants and 100 dogs) Radmila Karlic and hr son are truffle-hunters: there are looking in the oak forests for the white Alba truffle. In another village Tedi Chiavalon has a plantation of 7.500 olive trees and makes workshops for visitores showing them how to taste an olive oil. Then we meet Teo Fernetchi, the owner of the Hotel and Restaurant San Rocco: the souper is Istrian ham, wild asparagus and eggs of the farm.
In dubrovnik we meet two pleasant women: Tea Batanic, the guide who knows very well Dubrovnik (memories of her childhood and adolescence) and Lena Kramaric, who enjoys to go early in the morning to the market, to buy fresh products and who is a famous painter.
Then we are in the shipyard Ulianik in Pula: there Branko Piljan a, photographer takes pictures of the shipyard and of the workers, Dean Skira, organizes lights shows of the cranes and Zoran, a worker of the shipyard is also coach of the soccer team who plays on the soccer ground financed by the shipyard.
Then we go to the mountains: in the Gorski Kotar Davor Delac is a photographer who is taking pictures of the wildlife: besides in Kuterevo there is an bear rescue center where they take care for orphan and injured bears.
Finally in the Paklenica area Ivan Vitez and his friends enjoy climbing limestone cliffs.
I enjoyed very the encounters of Raphaël with Mathieu Grinberg (the hotel on Hvar island), with Ivo Zaninovic (the lavender produccer), with Alba Zoe Grzinguid and Petar Rastija (the kayak trip), with Igor Hajdarhodzic (the comedian, artist and boat repairman), with Ivica Storic, his family and the Croatian folkloric group "Kud Bokolj" on Pasman island: very nice encounters with very kind Croatian men and women.
