The priest uses the term "confessor" to refer to the person making the confession. This is incorrect. The "confessor" is the priest. The person confessing is the "penitent."
From the character dialog of Benjamin and Msgr. Espinoza, Msgr. Espinoza is from the Archdiocese of New York, but when Msgr. Espinoza asks Benjamin to help "one of our priests" Fr. Andy on Long Island he is incorrect as Long Island is in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. A Monsignor of Msgr. Espinoza's standing would never refer to a priest from another diocese as "one of our priests."
The officer calls in to the station that they are following the suspect vehicle and ID's it as a white Ford van. However, the van shown and used throughout the show is a white GMC Savana.
Fr. Andy says he cannot reveal anything learned in confession, but Church law only prohibits betraying the penitent. So Fr. Andy could have called 9-1-1 which would have made the entire premise of the show moot.
