Julia in Jeopardy Again
TheFearmakers13 May 2019
Have you noticed that Julia is always in a situation of being in jeopardy during the final episodes of each season? This must mean she's an important character and she is. Probably the most interesting this season. From working a low rent restaurant-bar job to tagging along to keep an eye on Marius the way Frank did in the previous season, she's a centerpiece as is her relationship with Marius, and here she gets kidnapped, and again it's a race-against-time...

Which isn't a spoiler because it's already mentioned right there on the summary at the top of the page. If you ask me, the descriptions of each episode tells way too much and spoils almost everything, but anyhow, this is another building-to-the-end episode, and we get to see the late Ricky Jay doing card tricks, which he had niche fame for.

So basically this isn't bad for a "Poised" plot-line but that's about all it does: aims to another means to yet another end. And instead of the first two seasons winding down to taking out the villains, this season centers on ending Marius, which is like wanting the party to end and makes little sense.

Anyhow, while the literal and proverbial cards are being laid onto the table, there's little urgency, for the time being... and there should be...

The Sunshine Switcheroo

Warning: Spoilers
The Vignetti character annoys me to no end and I don't know if that is the point or not.

Marius and Lizzie's dynamic doesn't feel engaging at all. Whether they are actually working together or not I just don't seem to care and that's a reason this season has been mediocre in my mind.

Just Not Much That Is Interesting

Really the best part of this season has been Ricky Jay and Emmett Walsh.

The episode, just plain. 5/10.
