Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass Underrated..
djb1185329 November 2019
I know most hoopla is about Jennifer and Reece for this series...but the characters of Cory and Chip played by these two actors keeps me also interested. Great supporting cast. Good lines by both in this episode and they both nailed them. And I will give Jennifer Anniston a shout out too for the dorm scene...nice job.

Winston Smashes It Again

The Morning Show is so addictive, I just ended this episode and I immediately wanted to watch the next one!! Sadly, I'm watching it weekly, so I can't binge it!!

Billy Crudup is great as network executive, Cory Ellison, though disappointingly there was no Sweeney Todd number in this episode. Reese Witherspoon is tremendous, but Jennifer Aniston is again a revelation as the co-anchor who may or may not have been complicit in the #MeToo scandal on her show, She goes through a whole host of emotions and she hits every single note. She truly is an incredible dramatic actor, who sadly has been lost in sitcoms or romantic comedies for most of her career.

I can't with to see where we go next.

One episode for a lot of events
ayaajjan1 December 2019
To do what they've done in one episode is something huge. Choosing the cast was pretty much the most amazing thing after directing this show. Everyone has played their own role so genuinely without being superior to each other! They're all great stars. With the fluctuation of opinions in this show between feminism, listening to the victim as well as the culprit, family strength, couples' rights, messed-up relationships, defending love and choices; it makes an attractive mix to get attached to! This show has proved that it's worth watching even for not-so-much drama fans like me, since I've loved Jennifer mostly for comedy roles as well as Steve and Reese. I mean, this is the magic itself! They are very talented in everything!

Open Waters - Well thought out

Warning: Spoilers
Bradley met with Mitch to discuss who else was complicit in what he was doing behind closed doors. Of course, he mentions Alex. Bradley and Alex just forged a bond together and things may fall apart just as fast as they came together. Alex's husband wants a divorce and her daughter blames her for it all. The two have a major blowout then Alex goes home to her daughter's bed to cry. After thinking long and hard about Mitch's proposal, Bradley needs someone to corroborate his side of the story.

Casted so well.

Bradley's dilemma, in particular, is confusing, but compelling. Truth is her purpose and coverup culture shouldn't be condoned or excused. But she is absolutely right that having Mitch on The Morning Show would not only cause the network to implode; it would also destroy the show. So, even though people like Chip and Alex and Mia and Hannah covered up Mitch's behavior - it still seems like Bradley has nothing much to gain and everything to lose from doing an interview with Mitch on the show. That is if she finds a way to make it happen at all. Mitch just wants to take other people down with him. We know he's had help in the form of people turning a blind eye. Other TV networks probably assume so too. They may even be trying to look into it right now. The truth will come out. Why Bradley is willing to consider letting Mitch tell it is baffling. Karen Pittman kills the monologue. It's a breakdown of sorts, but it's chilling rather than embarrassing to watch. Chilling freezes the viewer so they can't look away even if they want to. Embarrassing forces them to cover up their face and watch through their fingers. It's just a matter of taste, but I'll always prefer the former. I'm not an actor, but it seems like a more challenging task. Sheila in HR really needs to slow her roll and listen to what Claire is saying. I get real anxiety watching the scene escalate from Claire relaying how the relationship started to Shelia asking her if she needs help to get out of it. Yes, they should've handled the situation better and the power imbalance of their positions isn't ideal. But not every workplace relationship is abusive and Shelia in HR should recognize that. The Morning Show would do well to remember that too. It's a drama about #MeToo from different angles and power dynamics at a TV network. It may be important, but it's also unrelenting.

Worst episode yet
The_Boxing_Cat29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The only thing that saved this episode, after Mia's rant- which seemed unrealistic and convoluted, was when Alex put that little brat in her place! That kid is a spoiled self righteous imp with an overblown sense of entitlement. Kudos to the writers for allowing Alex to speak her mind. Thank goodness for a fresh prospective!

This is a great series -Alex saved this almost boring episode!

Lots of narcissists here, just like the Alex character?
cmartinelli-12-66316030 December 2019
A narcissist screaming and lying at her teenaged daughter, who is trying to tell the mother the truth about the woman's destructive personality disorder, is praised by reviewers here. WTF?

Alex's character is a horrible human being who has used and abused her husband and child since forever, to fulfill her own pathetic ego. She loves no one but herself.

Her over the top emotional displays are artificial, just like all narcissists, to gain attention and pity. She has to be the center of everything, all the time, and pampered and praised. It is unhealthy for everyone around her, and destructive to their wellbeing. And yet these reviewers buy into her sick drama. Wow. Sick and sad.

Episode 7

Warning: Spoilers
We are starting to see more deceit and infighting which the show needs, but it is struggling to give us a true rivalry not involving the host chairs that matters. If we're not going to get that dial back all the screen time for the supporting cast.

Why would Alex divorce that ideal most attractive guy ? Maybe Jack resigned from the show.
etherylaer16 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
When Alex shares news to Lizzy about divorce, I also don't understand Alex because he was the most sexy attractive guy among people that was close to her. Jason was loyal and professional succesful writer professor in a University. He is like Ross, but Ross isn't sexy, while Jason is really handsome and funny at the same time, why on earth would Alex divorce a caring partner or companion like that in real life?

Mia you are a feminist, I saw it coming.
kmwika16 March 2020
Maybe if I had read a little bit about this show forehand, I would have known it was less about what its title suggests and more about feminism, Me Too and what not. I have liked a few episodes here and there that don't focus so much on the aforementioned matters but this is another one that just didn't do it for me. I have no words for Mia's offputting rant. Overall, at least it wasn't a total loss. The meeting of Nestor Carbonell and Bel Powley with the HR personnel to discuss their relatinship sort of saved it for me. It reminds us what gender equality really entails...
