I loved the first Cosmos with Sagan which I watched live back in high school. The last season with Tyson was ok but still a step down from the eloquence and gravitas of Sagan to the monotone of Tyson. This new "Possible Worlds" series is more of the same, but even less polished. The childishly geometric and flat animations became tiresome and smacked of "not trying hard enough". Sorry Neil, I respect your mind, but you could have done better. And the overly poetic yet scientifically uninspiring writing of Druyan was cringe worthy at times. I will say that the long narration by Sagan at the end of the "Habitable Zone" episode was a redeeming feature that makes me sad that Sagan died far too soon. Still I give this season a 7 if only because it will - hopefully - inspire some bright youngsters
