Quirky Indie Romance Tackling Taboo Topic
lsctucker9 June 2023
If you want to play another mindless rom com, then this ain't for you. Days of Daisy tells a story we don't usually see. A girl meets the man of her dreams but he doesn't want to have kids...a big part of her own dream. Lots of fun character moments. This isn't your typical mainstream boy meets girl. Worth a watch for anyone that feels alone in not having kids and wants to see more stories about that! Jency Hogan lights up the screen, with a grounded performance. I really appreciate that this movie doesn't hand hold you or tell you how to feel. You get to decided what you think happens to these two next.

Unbelievably terrible

Were they kidding with this? I felt like I was at my grand kids high school play (except that the high school kids acting was far more professional). This was just awful.

Maybe in fairness I should say that the dialog was so poorly written that even real actors probably would not be able to deliver it convincingly.

If this was a student film, then I beg the instructor...PLEASE FAIL THEM.

Looking at the rating this got, I must conclude that whoever put this disaster together has a lot of friends that owe them a favor because no one who actually watched this mess could possibly give it more then 1 star.

Quirky indie comedy

A bit disjointed at times, but overall it had some really funny moments and was an easy watch. Maybe they tried to fit too much into one movie, but it still worked for me on the whole. I loved the ending and how it didn't tie things up too neatly. I would have maybe liked to have seen more different takes on parenting and having kids, perhaps something to do with child birth on the decline, or the advancements in technology for older women who want to conceive, but they did a nice job of exploring the challenges of endometriosis and the odds of conceiving being lower. It was heartfelt and feel-good - I thought the kid actors were all really strong and I thought the music added a nice tone to the whole film.

Inspiring Film

Days of Daisy is an unforgettable film. The characters were believable and the chemistry between the two main characters caused the audience to want to find out how their differences would be resolved. It is a film which offers hope for a better future. Days of Daisy is an enjoyable and uplifting film. We all need hope and without hope, our lives becoming dreary. This script is well-written and interesting. The relationships between the main characters and the young adults in the film brought the story to life in a way which showed how important it is to support the next generation so that a bright future will be possible for them.

Quirky and Heartfelt

Warning: Spoilers
A sweet story that handles what can be a heavy topic with a light touch. This movie is relatable for many women who have wrestled with the question of wanting children or not, and how to handle it when your partner doesn't want what you do. Some of the writing was a bit uneven, but Jency Hogan's performance as Daisy shines and feels very authentic. I expected to see the typical happy ending where the main character gets what they want, and Daisy surprised me with where the story went--in a good way

There are many funny moments and a good choice if you want to cozy up on the couch and feel good afterwards.
